FrancoFile: Morgoth

He wasn't actually that evil. Sure, he stole the silmarils, but what Feanor did to get them back? Feanor was as bad as Morgoth.

Now Sauron? Sauron was evil.

I think it was the sequel to Wall Street.

optikeye: One Bad Apple: No matter what else I see her in I want to reach into the screen and choke her.

That movie really ruined her for anything else for big screen parts. She a native of my city and while she loved the part and awards...it type cast her for forever. She played it too well.

I can see that. I'm young enough that I saw DS9 before One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but Ratched infuriated me in exactly the same ways as Winn, and it didn't help that it was the same actor, nor that the characters were essentially the same. She is a heck of an actor, but she does punchable-yet-unassailable authority figure so well, casting her's a no-brainer. Like Ed Asner for a-hole businessman.

Well since someone took my thought of Nurse Rachet, I'm going with the Disney route and say Scar :)

433: Cruella DeVille.

Honestly - who wants a coat made out of puppies?

I do, but I want them to be alive and holding on to rope with their teeth so I can make a grand entrance in my puppy coat, snap my fingers, and have it suddenly explode in to a hundred puppies who fill the room with happiness and joy and poops.

Ratched.

She's authoritarian for sure, but she didn't strike me as outright evil as much as she is strong-handed and misguided.

Satan, Paradise Lost.

He's more of an Anti-Hero, but when you are so...convincing that you make God into the bad guy, then you must be REALLY evil.  If that makes sense.

It was a great book. It's a page turner. But oh goddam did I not like either of them when it was over. And the ending was right for the story, but unsatisfying.

Really, other having a biatch fight with God...what did Satan ever do that would be considered 'evil'; he never actively or ordered the killing of any one, or genocide, or set up his son for Murder to prevent himself from touring other people.

I got the feeling that the party got her, that's where she broke, and that threatening Billy with his mother was a last resort, especially given the nature of the relationship that Ratched had with her.  She also could have known that Bill would have taken his own last resorts, and that with his suicide (or suicide threat), she would be able to keep her position.

Poor guy.  His first was his last.
