vygramul: Be still my bombing Herat.

You're not sure what you want to do
with your life
but you sure don't want Obama in it
Yeah you're sure the life you're
living with him
can't go on one single minute
And there's a new one waiting
outside this door
and now's the time to begin it

You found a new scandal and
you want to taste it
But that scandal can turn cold and
you better face it !

Oooh, we're doing epigrams now? How about this one: GOP farkwads seeking to make political hay out of attacks on U.S. consulates should spend eternity in hell with a donkey dick in each orifice.

jaytkay: Ask a teatard to point out Afghanistan and Benghazi on a map./ I know it's mean, but still

What do you mean by teatard? I am conservative and have been watching that region since 1997. My husband just got back from there and we speak one of the languages from there.

The "retards" as you say are upset because of the way Benghazi was handled after the fact. (I knew about Benghazi because of World War II) This isn't about embassies being attacked but about the incompetence afterwards and that no one called out the administration on it. We are allowed to complain about Bush and call him retarded but Obama is hands off? Sorry if a few "teatards", especially from an older generation become a little paranoid.

I think it's more the pretense that there is anything new about U.S. foreign policy that's annoying. I am 63 years old, and America's cop & nanny foreign policy has been the order of the day my entire life - and I have been biatching about it all my life.
I actually think it's pretty cool that "older generation teatards" have FINALLY woken up to see that America's sucky foreign policy sucks - and if it took a black face in the oval office to make you see it - well, I'm OK with that.

Methos: marius2: The Taliban just directly email CNN now?

And take credit for attacks that might be regarded in some circles as a complete failure?

Absolutely.  It's a (you'll pardon the expression) fundamental problem fighting suicidal terrorists.

A rational person sees "all 7 attackers killed, 3 dead security guys" as a win for the good guys.

Your terrorist leader sees 7 martyrs, and 3 dead infidels...so he puts 10 in the "win" column.
And here's the kicker...his next batch of recruits will agree with him.

Easy solution.

Setup several CIWS Phalanx systems outside the embassy with enormous ammo hoppers that hold several million rounds each.

Setup up a platform where a quran is burned every few hours/minutes, whatever.  Then just sit back while all the "true" muslims run in and get turned into hamburger meat.

Anyone left alive after a couple days are pretenders because they don't actually believe in their religion and can just be ignored or bribed.

vygramul: Gyrfalcon: So is Obama being blamed yet?

Unpossible. No Americans killed, and they insisted that it didn't matter in other attacks because of that. They'd be incredible hypocrites to make a stink about this.

Lets be honest.  They see the attack on the consulate in Libya, nothing happened to the attackers.  They see Syria cross the red line, and in response we threaten to maybe launch a tiny pointless attack, but only if congress approves.

Why wouldnt our enemies feel emboldened?

/ while all of that is true, it isnt why THIS attack happened, you can really only blame this attack on Osama Bin Laden, cause whe had a REASON to be in Afghanistan.  Oh wait, we HAD a reason to be there, we killed that reason, and we... are still... there.   Which President still has our troops there again?

ClintonKun: Let's get this out of the way before the Potato Brigade comes derping in. Embassy attacks under the Bush administration:

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.
June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan. Suicide bomber connected with al Qaeda attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.
October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of "Bali Bombings." No fatalities.
February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.
May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al Qaeda terrorists storm the diplomatic compound, killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.
July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.
December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.
March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)
September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.
January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.
March 18, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby schoo ...

Except none of those listed above were involved in arms smuggling to Syrian rebels.  Derp harder lib.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.
September 17, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

In other words, shiat can happen at consulates and embassies. Beef up security for next time. Don't derp and obsess over imagined conspiracies, Republicans.

Well, good thing there were no accusations from the left blaming each and every one on your list on bush.

/// not a bush fan. About the only thing worse than bush is the hypocrites defending obama now.
