Heliovdrake: To be fair Christianity is more in line with communism then capitalism

Well, Catholicism at least is supposed to be aligned with neither.   Rerum Novarum is possibly the most under-read and under appreciated encyclical ever written.  It's sort of a giant f-you to both Communism and to total unregulated Capitalism.  Private property and private business are good things, but it goes on to point out that wage slavery is a sin.  Kind of an interesting read actually...

or for those of you with short attention spans..

I love the fact that a "living wage" is defined as enough money for a laborer to support not only himself, but his whole family in a simple but dignified manner.  Try telling that to most corporations today...

If the communism is voluntary, sure. Free will is central to Christian ethics.

Yes, all Christians have the free will to do exactly what their church tells them to.

'Papa' Monzano, the ruthless dictator of San Lorenzo who impaled opponents on hooks and outlawed the practice of Bokononism, lay dying in his bed and refusing Christian priests, he said  "I am a member of the Bokononist faith...Get out, you stinking Christian."

Under our thin public facade, we are what we pretend to hate the most.

Marx only called religion the opiate of the masses because television hadn't been invented yet.
