Clemens might get beaned, but he still has the ball the next time he goes out there to pitch. Here's the scoop though, why the hell would you want to waste an out to throw at Clemens. If Clemens hits Piazza, the Mets throw at Kent or Bags.

While that is true, there is no one (aside from the Clemens asslicks) who don't truly believe he deserves more than one high and tight.

I could care less, but I don't think the Bears should have fried Jauron in the first place. I understand that the GM wanted to bring in his own guy, but he shoulda done it last year. The Bears were a sorry excuse for a football team the last 2 years and it wasn't the coach's fault.

Pressure's on the Astros now. If they can't perform with that lineup, they're farked.

Mondo-: Isiah Thomas has just sealed the Knicks' fate for 5 more year by hiring Lenny Wilkens.

I don't disagree that Clemens needs to get dusted, just because he has been able to throw at people without having to worry about much for 20 years now. Then again, Gibson and Drysdale batted and it didn't stop them from head hunting. Pedro got to bat for a while too and he still throws at people.

Continuing the Raiders "Commitment to Egg Salad", Al Davis announces that he is promoting Beaney, the mentally challenged waterboy, to head coach. He then pulls the waistline of his pants up to his armpits and shuffles out of the room mumbling, "I got more lawsuits to file". Beaney, startled by the media crush, sings the Oscar Meyer song in response to every question, then wets his pants.

Switzerland looks like the team to beat in this year's Curling World Championship, but the Canadian curlers are looking mighty tough, as well. I think we can all agree that those pitiful Norwegians won't be much of a challenge for anyone, though.

Roenick = BIG BABY.
On the coaching front, my mom (a Bills fan) said this: "What a bunch of Mularky." She really wanted Fassel. I don't think Fassel will get hired this round, and will sit out a year, maybe 2 like Green did.
Also, anyone else see the NCAA division III thing got passed, grandfathering the 8 schools that have D-1 programs?

Just what the Bills needed. After a season with a schizophrenic offense under a lousy coordinator and an unproven young coach with no previous head coaching experience, they went out and hired a mediocre offensive coordinator with no head coaching experience from a 6-10 team with a schizophrenic offense.

Can anyone say "hello No. 1 draft choice in 2005"?

Precisely....those guys are gutsy (maybe not so much Pedro, even though I'm a Sox fan, but still....)

Clemens....is not. He threw at people for years with no repercussions....then when it came time, he was conveniently "moved back" to avoid teams. It's pathetic. Even when Shawn Estes "threw" at him, it was all a big joke.

What's the story with this naked cheerleader jumping from a hotel balcony in Hawaii?

It'll be interesting to see how Clemens behaves now that he'll have to go to bat every ninth hitter. No hiding behind the DH now, Rocket!

Buckeye fan, bow down....You got smacked in the mouth. You're used to it. How many times do we have to go over this?

One thing in general about college football... How can you love a game that can't give you a clear cut best team and best player, year in and year out. You put Eli Manning on the team instead of Jason White, you'd think it might be a little different story in the LSU game(they were blown out in the KSU game). He was needed to make the play, like a Heisman trophy winner should, but he couldn't. What a joke.

Roger Clemens has permanently set up camp at the summit of Pussy Mountain. We'll see how much chin music he's bringing this year and I guarantee it won't be much.

A couple predictions:

Tiger Woods will not win a major again this year.

The Lions will be worse than the Cardinals and the Bengals next year.

OSU pwnd again.

Bears: will suck again. Marv Levy was the choice and he practically was begging for the opportunity. He lives in Chicago. But the asshole front offices of all the Chicago Sports Franchises (except the Fire) suck and the Bears front office is the worst of them all.

Cubs: Well, they might have a chance if they get Maddux. Otherwise, the Astros did very well in the off-season, didn't they?

White Sox: This franchise is doing the same thing it does every year. They play the first half of the season to see if they can be a contender. If they are, they sign some players to make a run. If they aren't, they sell off their players. It'll never be a dynasty.

The Chicago Fire is the only consistent winner, and they shocked us all last year by going to the finals (which they should have won, would have won if Ante wasn't so dang sick that he missed a penalty kick, for cri-yi!)

Blackhawks, Bulls: Forget it. Ever since they moved into that crappy stadium, they've been going downhill.

Marv Levy lives in Chicago?

Ever since Mr. Wirtz decided to not broadcast Blackhawks home games to the local area, they've gone downhill. Talk about riding the short bus to school...

Nah. Da Bears, 60,000, Ravens nil.

anyway..England will win the IRB Sevens. Nuff said. And the US is gonna finish in the top 10..7th or so. That's rugby, in case you guys didn't know.

Hey, where's all the Knicks talk?

2004-01-14 10:43:23 PM
Chris Perry is the next Barry Sanders. I would like to see him go to my hometown Lions. Harrington, Rogers, Perry sounds tasty to me.

Lebron James is a hella lot better than I thought he would be.

Colts 31 - Eagles 17 in Super Bowl

The Orioles will contend next year, and the Yankees will miss the playoffs.

Hockey Sucks

2004-01-14 10:47:11 PM
You want Knicks talk...here yah go. Lenny Wilkens is a washed up hack who will never win anything. Also, Isiah has put the Knicks in a cap hell when he was about to finally see some light at the end of the tunnel with mcdyess and ward coming off the cap. Now they have Penny, Marbury and zero 1st rounders for the next two years. The Knicks will have Joe Dumars envy in no time at all.

Amazing....that many predictions, and the only one you were even CLOSE on was the Yankees....

Dance Dance Karnov--you forgot that only New Jersey, Detroit, Colorado, and Dallas are allowed to win the Stanley Cup (I don't like that either).

--

Now that LeBron James has had some time to show us his stuff, yes, I think you can say he's the real deal so far. But it's up for argument whether this is because (a) he's basketball Jesus or (b) the NBA sucks so much these days that an 18-year-old can school almost all of the other guys out there.

But 'Melo should win rookie of the year because his team is actually winning.

I'm thinking the assrows might use the ol rocket as the closer, Since they dished Billy Wagner off to Philly,
I realize they have Dotel, who is a damn good setup man, that might be the closer, but Roger is old, maybe thats the plan.
Roger is an egomaniac. I doubt he can handle getting beaned on a regular basis.

/fark the astros, go Cubbies!

themeaningoflifeisnot, I'll say it. Hello No. 1 draft choice in 2005!

The Bills should have waited for Weis, or gone with somebody like Levy who was really looking to get back in the game. I would have payed to see Levy on the sideline again.
