DjangoStonereaver: ChrisDe: URAPNIS: It's got to be better than that New York cardboard crap. And we're off and running....Hey! I'm a proud NJ pizza snob, and I will be the first to admit that well-made Chicago deep-dish is amongthe yummiest of foods around. Its not pizza to be sure, but it is damn tasty.
jigger: UrukHaiGuyz: FrancoFile: How do you boil dough?Isn't that how pretzels are made?and bagels
Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Over the last 10 years, my household has steadily replaced Pizza Hut (our go to place for fresh baked pies for 20 years) with Papa Johns. And to be honest, we aren't looking back. They make a mean pie, and the garlic dipping sauce and fresh peppers are always a welcomed touch.

Highroller48: URAPNIS: It's got to be better than that New York cardboard crap.8/10. You're gonna get a ton of bites. If this had been a Deli sandwich thread you'd have got the full 10 points, and probably your house torched, as well.
Mock26: For all the Chicago Farkers out there, if you get the chance, go to VOLO and order their bone marrow.
UberDave: I would be interested to see how flavorless they can make it.
FooDog: nekom: I have a good friend in Sweden, they put tuna on theirs. Doesn't sound horrible, just weird. Bone marrow though, that's horrible AND weird.Tuna? Not that common. However, Kebab Pizza is where the magic is at (most popular pizza type in Sweden):[www.glimmapizzeria.se image 800x600]
Deedeemarz: Never tried British pizza, but my husband hated Italian pizza: he forgot to order cheese for his once, and got octopus on his at another place (somehow thought he was ordering a particular spicy sausage we liked). But he kept trying at every little shop he found.....
baconbeard: It's got curry on it, right?
Oh God I can't find good pizza here. It's a joke. There are of course the US chains like Pizza Hut and Pappa John's who push the same crap they do at home. Then there's the major native chain Pizza Express which seems to be trying to do Italian style pizzas but fails horribly. I've tried a variety of independent and mom&pop type places too - they are usually associated with a kebab shop or a fried chicken place. Most of them cant get the crust right - like a big chewey, soggy loaf of bread with a tiny little bit of ketchup on top and an extremely precious amount of toppings.
For real "weird" pizza that actually works, see Flying Wedge (PDF link). Perogi pizza rocks!
HairBolus: and yes traditional Swedish food (that isn't fresh seafood) is worse than traditional English food.
wildcardjack: Hell, they'll deep fry a salad if you ask.

Erebus1954: I've seen pizzas on menus in London with sunny side up eggs right on the top. Weird. I did't order it.The food in England was great. And everyone had all their teeth. Shocker.
letrole: but i draw the line at cornregular whole kernel corn is a pizza topping in englandjust say no
