Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Over the last 10 years, my household has steadily replaced Pizza Hut (our go to place for fresh baked pies for 20 years) with Papa Johns. And to be honest, we aren't looking back. They make a mean pie, and the garlic dipping sauce and fresh peppers are always a welcomed touch.

Deedeemarz: Never tried British pizza, but my husband hated Italian pizza: he forgot to order cheese for his once, and got octopus on his at another place (somehow thought he was ordering a particular spicy sausage we liked). But he kept trying at every little shop he found.....

Oh God I can't find good pizza here. It's a joke. There are of course the US chains like Pizza Hut and Pappa John's who push the same crap they do at home. Then there's the major native chain Pizza Express which seems to be trying to do Italian style pizzas but fails horribly. I've tried a variety of independent and mom&pop type places too - they are usually associated with a kebab shop or a fried chicken place. Most of them cant get the crust right - like a big chewey, soggy loaf of bread with a tiny little bit of ketchup on top and an extremely precious amount of toppings.

Erebus1954: I've seen pizzas on menus in London with sunny side up eggs right on the top. Weird. I did't order it.The food in England was great. And everyone had all their teeth. Shocker.
