"The Five" should be referred to as "The Potato"

Goddammit. Just once I want one of these to actually be funny. Just once. I want to laugh! I really do. These are just horrible, though.

That makes as much sense as liberal country music.

Moderate Dem:  I'm kind of weary of war, but I guess if the cause is just and we don't put boots on the ground, I would be okay with a strike on Syria.
Liberal Dem:  We don't need another Middle Eastern war.  Let's focus on our own people.

Yeah, this just doesn't make any sense. Polls show liberals are MORE opposed to the Syria thing than Convservatives are.

It wasn't particularly humorous but that's probably because I completely understand the sentiment behind it.

Yes the liberal worship of Obama is why he is having such difficulty getting his party in line.

Here's the thing - right wingers CAN be funny.  See Mike Nelson, James Lileks, PJ O'Rourke, Ben Stein, etc.  Thing is, they CAN'T be funny when trying to do pro-right wing material.  It's the conservacomedy paradox.

See Dennis Miller for proof of this.

It was pretty funny for liberal humor. Organic, grass-fed bombs sound cool.

I prefer to think that Dennis Miller was abducted by aliens in 1999 and replaced by an automaton that spouts paranoid Right Wing Propaganda.

He's one of the funniest motherfarkers ever. I love that guy.

... but President Obama's foreign policy makes the 3rd Duke of Norfolk Thomas Howard look like Colonel Jason Grant from Moontrap played by Walter Koenig.

As someone who's done it, improv comedy can in fact be funny.

This is not how to do it.

Pretty much anyone who strictly does partisan material is painfully unfunny.

Janenane Garofalo was an amusing, observational humor hipster comedienne.  Now she's just a painfully unfunny left-wing hack.

Margaret Cho (okay, not that "MY MOM TALKS FUNNY, AND I OWN A BUTTPLUG!  LOLOLOLOL!" was that great to begin with) put out a "comedy" album, and the first 15 minutes were literally her just calling George Bush stupid, over and over again.  Not jokes about how he was stupid, just literally stating "George W. Bush is so stupid!  He's like, on TV, and he's like talking, and he like, sounds soooo dumb!!!"

None of these idiots will ever take jabs at their own side, basically ignoring a huge wealth of material.

Nobody has viciously mocked Code Pink's insipid antics like the "left-wing" Daily Show.

Patton Oswalt did a great bit about the struggle of being anti-war while simultaneously hating hippies.

Whoa there, man. There is some great liberal country music. Woody Guthrie, Graham Parsons and Willie Nelson would all qualify to varying degrees IMHO.

As much as i love him, George Carlin last days is a perfect example of of a political comedian gone off the deep end.

You can't take sides, you have to mock what's wrong, no matter the political party. That's why Daily Show gets it right a majority of the time.

Dennis Miller was freaking hillarious when he lampooned everyone. Then 9/11 happened and he freaked out.

Any comedian who loses the truth of the matter, will become unfunny.

Not familliar with the Dixie Chicks, are you?

Not a big Country Fan, but "Goodbye Earl" is just so delightfully twisted a song. Especially because of how UPBEAT it sounds.

I think a lot of people fail to realize that there is a good chunk of people on the left that do not support Obama and don't subscribe to "lesser-of-two-evilism".
