Some of the rebels are freedom fighters, like Princess Leah. Some are thieves and smugglers, like Han Solo or Lando Calrissian. Some are bearded religious figures, like Obi Wan Kenobi.

I cant think of any other analogies right now, but Im pretty sure Lindsay Graham is C 3 P0

The US has been funding our future enemies for decades.  Why stop now?

Yes, because giving medical supplies and shoes to the rebels is totally the same thing as sending pallet after pallet of stingers to the Afghans

Look we can't through the baby out with the bath water. Sure some bad people will get these weapons in Syria.

But do we want to ban assult weapons here in The USA just because a bad person may use them?

I think not.

judging by the videos coming out of Syria, the FSA rebels will probably just kill eachother/themselves by accident in the end anyways

The Free Syrian Army says it's not getting any weapons.
So who is the CIA arming?
Mujahedeen?

In June, the White House authorized the Central Intelligence Agency to help arm moderate fighters battling the Assad regime, a signal to Syrian rebels that the cavalry was coming. Three months later, they are still waiting.
The delay, in part, reflects a broader U.S. approach rarely discussed publicly but that underpins its decision-making, according to former and current U.S. officials: The Obama administration doesn't want to tip the balance in favor of the opposition for fear the outcome may be even worse for U.S. interests than the current stalemate.

That's pretty phenomenal.  Unfortunately, Lucas is a hack fraud, so if that's intentionally part of the story, he was surely kept out of those meetings.

And some of them eat human hearts.

"This spring, one militia leader affiliated with the FSA-his brigade has since been kicked out-was filmed eating a dead soldier's heart. "This stuff happens rarely, but it's unfortunate," Layman says. "With the guy who was eating a heart, he was part of a moderate faction...We work with Idriss and let him know that he needs to prevent these things."

So, we said we would send weapons, but we haven't, yet. But Al Qaeda soldiers may be sleeping on American pillows (no doubt made in China), and that is TREASON!!!!
