Sounds like a Kickstarter project.

She could have asked people for money and offered them "undying thanks" in return.

Boy, what a mess for that woman! It's as if feces, which one might normally find in a toilet, had come in contact with a rapidly spinning propeller-like device.

It's a real product, the PanFan

www.panfan.com

Although I don't know if in 2011 they had a US distributor. It looks like a product with a modest margin in it's $100 price range. Which makes the bit about "and $50 for every fan sold " sounds so suspect I'd really doubt it.

How does it pull air through water? Other than magic, if it isn't a specially designed toilet. Because that is impossible in regular toilets.

indeed, the $50.00 profit per unit was pie in the sky that blinded a greedy person. someone who has $30K to invest should have heard 'when it sounds too good to be true, it is' somewhere along the way.

With your level of investment, fifty dollars profit is within well within reason.

Sounds like:

You will earn $50 for every single unit sold, guaranteed and here is my signed statement to that fact. Plus video footage of this transaction. With time stamping.
