Dude, you better get some rights to that picture when Who fans start making posters and mugs out of it.

Someone posted this to my FB feed the other day implying there was something that should have been recognizable. Now that I have someone telling me what I should be seeing, yeah, no, I still just see a castle, or abbey as the case may be.

/from one of the io9 comments, what the fark did I just watch?(NSFW, yes, on youtube, I guess old Orsen Welles movie trailers get a pass)

Oh come on.  That doesn't even remotely look like a TARDIS.  Not even just a little if I'm drunk, tilt my laptop and squint real hard.  You can't even jokingly pretend.  At least be a wee bit better with your dumb jokes.

That is the only episode of the revival I haven't seen, The description never interested me and it didn't seem to do anything to advance the season's story arc.

Um, I think we're supposed to refer to them as "Special Needs Kids" these days.....

Too bad.  It's actually one of the best.

I've never been a big fan of the "Let's meet a historical figure!" episodes, particularly The Shakespeare Code. I've heard about it's "very touching moment" but other than being really nice to look at I'm not a huge Amy Pond fan so an episode dedicated to cheering her up never sounded worth the time, I'll probably get around to it before the 50th anniversary when I get the itch for some Who but I'm not expecting much.

It was written by Richard Curtis the guy who wrote Blackadder.

You ought to see it.  It is one long, extended wank session over Van Gogh's works - and I mean that in an entirely positive manner.  The plot is nothing special, but the episode works overtime to make you realize how farking awesome Van Gogh's art is.

As long it isn't a painting of the Tardis blowing up. We'll be fine.
