Simon Pegg is the George Formby of ukulele actors.

Though I thought The World's End was the weakest of their three films, I still genuinely enjoyed it. Nick Frost always gives me a guttural laugh.

So he was intentionally acting drunk in Star Trek?

Mugato: So he was intentionally acting drunk in Star Trek?

Well, he was playing Scotty...  BTW, I can barely understand him when he's sober (or is that pretending to be sober).

I don't know about that, but I do know that Pegg, Pine, Quinto, and Cumberbatch all went to Hooter's in San Fran and got completely shiatfaced one night. Must have been great time.

Scotty got drunk once and bumped his head on a bulkhead in the terrible Trek 5 but he wasn't constantly the goofy comic relief.

I love watching anything that  Simon Pegg  is in. Sadly, that is what got my hopes up to high for his newest flick.
Me thinks I need to rewatch it in a year or so when I have drunken enough to send me in a jovial mood.

That was the best, and I agree. Weaker of the three, but my brother and I enjoyed it.

I was immensely disappointed with The World's End. Pegg and Frost tried to swap roles and they both sucked at playing the other role.

That part was awesome.
I too thought it was the weakest, but I remembered something, and that is, I haven't seen it drunk yet like I have with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Something tells me that the optimum viewing experience for World's End is with 4 or 5 people and a couple of cases of beer.

I want to have Simon Pegg's baby. I also want to have Pine's, Cumberbatch's, and Quinto's baby. I don't have enough uteruses :(

Didn't they kinda do that in Paul?  It's been a long time since I've seen it, so I don't remember.  I know it wasn't a Pegg/Wright flick, so it technically doesn't count, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

I haven't seen WE yet, but it sounds like it was never going to live up to expectations.  It's been too long since they've all done a proper project together, really, and they'e been off doing other things.  Going from Spaced into Shaun, you knew it was going to work (especially if you watch their early pre-production synopsis on the Shaun extras) because they were friends and focused.  Fuzz was still good, if a little long-winded.  I think time and life were the real enemy here.  I still expect to enjoy it, but I also don't plan on pushing Play until the sixth beer.

I completely forgot about Paul.  I never saw it, and don't think anyone in my monkeysphere did either. It looked really really bad.
