If you're betting serious sh*t like this on the first game of the season, you need to go to gambling rehab, buddy.  Every time you catch yourself thinking that the pre-season means jack sh*t, remember what the Lions' pre-season record was in 2008, the year they went 0-16 in the regular season.

That's right: 4-0.

Surprising to me that a 'Skins fan actually honored his bet. I am sure most of them would have come up with excuses as to why Eagles cheated and thus they did not have to follow through on their bets.

No. No it's not. Just ask Harvey Westmoreland.

You could have gotten a Redskins fan to bet practically anything this offseason, after all, their trip to the Super Bowl is a foregone conclusion.

I bet on 12 games.  Missed on 2 (I took the Bengals + the points, and I took the Cowboys - the points).  At $20 a bet I went up about $250 (Parlay'd the Arizona + 4.5 and the Iggles + 3).  And after dropping $150 on Oregon -25, it ended up being a good weekend.

/plan on betting it all this weekend, percentages are your friend!
