I'm not at all a tattoo person.  Most of them range from tacky to stupid.  That includes yours.  Yes, it does.

But this is really cool:

This is pretty cool too ( Prob SFW, moderate underboob)

Won't look so cool on mottled saggy hairy splotchy middle-aged skin.

Right. Because it is skin color that makes people nude, not the dangly bits.

I broke my back real badly and have the x-ray from and keep thinking about getting a tattoo of it down my spine. Basically imagine the vertebrae snapped off just below the ribs and sitting over a top the hip-crest.

ya know.... the people who are HEAVILY into the body modification should probably be locked up in a ward somewhere that they can receive the help they need to get over their issues that are preventing them from being in normal society

we will lock up a suicidal person while we help them come to terms with who they are and get them the help they need, but what some people do to their bodies is just as harmful to them as being dead.

I don't care much for tats or people who have them, but I really like watching Ink Masters and Ink Nightmares. Fascinating on many levels.

I liked Matt (checkered man), Isobol (senior), and Geoff (the teacher). The all have very beautiful tattoos and designs. The rest? I'm sorry, but if implant horns in your head and split your tongue you are a freak. And nasty.

Good question. I was hit in the back with by a motorcycle. Two weeks in intensive care and then a few surgeries and I lived. Can't walk anymore but that is not really a problem.

Agree completely on Ink Masters.  Though, I don't really care whether other people have tattoos.  Personally, I think they (the tattoos) are stupid.  I'm sure some of them think my haircut is stupid.  No harm done.

But nonetheless, I will DVR Ink Masters if I can't catch it during normal broadcast.  Good stuff.

Wow, you have a hell of a good attitude.

Makes me embarrassed that I have been biatching about the limp I have had for a few months.

The guy who turned himself into a zombie after recovering from a brain tumor intrigues me. Why would someone who had a brush with death opt for a look that is bound to alienate people? Or is that the whole point - does he feel that his cancer experience divorces him from the population at large and is this his method of protecting himself? Was he disappointed by how people treated him when he was sick? Inquiring minds want to know.

Fully agree, I've been griping about arthritis in my knee for a while, and I still move pretty well. Kind of feel like a whiny biatch at the moment.

I agree with all of this except 5.  I have no doubt that at 80 I will still be fairly mentally sharp and retain most, if not all, of my faculties.  That kinda gives the list away as being written by an early 20-something who right now thinks 80 is nearly dead.  Which is ok, because when I was an early 20-something, I thought that too.

I hate full body tattoos because there's so much! It just seems like a jumble of ink at that point, like walking into a room that covered from floor to ceiling in Jackson Pollock prints. It's just overkill, sensory overload. At least with some nice big pieces separated by some bare skin, you get the chance to admire the skill/artwork on its own. Especially if you have someone like that lady with all those small detailed pieces. Just looks like stretches of ink splotches.

How so? I work at probably the most conservative firm in the country, and have full sleeves down to my wrist bones. Long-sleeved dress shirts exist. Word gets out though - everybody wants to have a peek, even Partners. No big deal.

My mom is 60, and has about 65% of her body covered with ink.  They look great still.
I only have 4 tattoos.  I got my first one at 15 and I still love them.  (I am 37).

We didn't do anything stupid like face, neck, or hands.
