I would have gone with: If you like Fox News, you'll love Pravda. That would have helped the Ironic tag a bit

Was it Truman with his "The buck stops here" ethos? Obama's seems to be "don't be bringing that buck in here, I want nothing to do with it, even if I did make the non-issue into a buck in the first place."

2013-09-11 08:15:39 AM

Snotnose: make the non-issue into a buck

Hey now, you're coming perilously close to calling Obama something other than a Marxist with that line.

Snotnose:

are you two the same guy? I mean one requires the other, doesn't it?

2013-09-11 08:31:16 AM
eh, he's ok.  Well into his second term, he hasn't done anything too amazing but hasn't really screwed up royally either.  I liked his policy re: bin laden, stop looking in caves and maybe just check his house, see if he's home.

2013-09-11 08:33:23 AM
So it there a anti LOPCATGOPAT? I would think that agreeing with Pravda would give the Teabaggers some pause.

Wow Pravda, this is better than anything FoxNews could have written:

"With Barack Obama, there is a mist of perfume which disguises the filth that lies below his policies, a cloak, a mantle of decency, a promise of "change", mere words used, abused and manipulated by a cynical coward devoid of any emotional intelligence at all, who does not have the guts to stand up to the lobbies pulling his strings, the corporate neo-con elitists who created his Presidency. Barack Obama's entire persona is dishonest, he is a fraud of the worst kind, a siren's song; his policy is double-faced, double-tongued, double-dealing and plain, downright deceitful. "

2013-09-11 08:37:02 AM
Why do articles about Obama being the worst have to rely on such tenuous, ridiculous things instead of hard facts and instances? Hmm, I do wonder.

That's what happens when you hire liberal arts majors to do your translations.

I can't wait for Obama to become the Democratic version of Mythos Reagan. 20 years from now, we'll speak of how great Obama was and attribute policy positions to him that he didn't actually hold.

Swing and a miss.  Obama decided not to rush to war and to try to work things out diplomatically.  Please proceed to call him worse than Bush, though.

Ahahahaha.  Dude got us into three wars, caused the greatest economic collapse since the Great Depression, started the NSA spy programs, deflected the ball so it went through Buckner's legs, and you're asking "WHAR R THA FACTS MY BUTT SMELLS?"  Ahahahahahaha.

He'll need to die first, or at least become senile and unable to respond for himself, before that happens. Reagan had the benefit of being senile before he even left office.

The farking retard thinks there are 57 states; that should tell you all you need to know about him.

Dude makes George Bush look like Einstein.

Seems as though if you want to see valid criticisms of Obama you need to turn to the left. The right is suppose to bring up legitimate arguments against Obama as the opposition party but they can't even do that right.

2013-09-11 09:54:26 AM
I don't think anyone can honestly call him the worst President in history. Sure, as an exercise in partisan hackery you can do that, but if you really believe it...sad for you.

Article seemed to be pretty accurate.. a bit harsh but nothing really false.

They've already embraced Taliban views on politics as it applies to sexual persuasion. The logical step of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" is to ally themselves with every nation that stands against America.

Weakness isn't considered subtle in Russia and the Arab world.
It's considered ... weak.

We have no clue what to do in Syria but whatever Obama decides is WRONG! We've been desperately trying to get ahead of the decision and predict what wrong thing he will do. Stop wasting time Obama and make a wrong decision! Then I can feel good about how smart I am.

If the next president is Republican, they'll be hailed as the second coming of Christ by Fox and savaged by everyone else. If the next president is a Democrat, the Republicans will find a new way to turn up the derp. It's already dangerously high.

A post by the author in the comments:Timothy John Bancroft-Hinchey в 02:48 08 сентябряTHE AMERICAN POSITION IS THAT THERE WAS A CHEMICAL ATTACK SO IT MUST HAVE BEEN ASSAD SO LET US SPEND SOME 100 MILLION DOLLARS OF TAXPAYERS' MONEY SUPPORTING AL-QAEDA IN SYRIA, USING IMAGES OF KIDS WHILE REFUSING TO USE IMAGES OF SYRIAN SOLDIERS AND FIREMEN GASSED IN THE SAME ATTACK IN GHOUTA BY THE TERRORISTS OBAMA SUPPORTS. THE IDEA IS TO TURN SYRIA INTO AN ENDEMIC SECTARIAN NIGHTMARE, SPLITTING IT UP INTO 3 PARTS, ELIMINATING IT AS A SERIOUS PLAYER IN THE MIDDLE EAST, ISOLATING IRAN FURTHER. THE NEO-CONS OBAMA REPRESENTS AND WHO HE HAS NOT THE GUTS TO STAND UP TO WILL THEN ATTACK LEBANON THEN IRAN AND THEN RUSSIA. THEY THINK EVERYONE WILL BACK DOWN AS THEY TRY AND SEIZE RESOURCES THAT DO NOT BELONG TO THEM. CHENEY'S DESK ALLEGEDLY HAD LISTS OF ARTEFACTS FROM IRAQI MUSEUMS WHICH HIS NEO-CON FRIENDS WANTED BEFORE THE INVASION. THIS IS THE TYPE OF MONSTER WE ARE DEALING WITH. I URGE ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS TO NETWORK AND MAKE THESE DAYS COUNT, LOBBY YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND MAKE IT CLEAR THAT A VOTE FOR WAR IS A VOTE FOR MURDER AND THOSE WHO VOTE FOR MURDER LOSE THEIR JOBS. I AM SUFFERING HACKING ATTACKS ALREADY, I HAVE HAD 2 HONEYPOT TRAPS SET WHICH I DID NOT RESPOND TO, I SUSPECT NEXT IT WILL BE DEATH THREATS AGAIN OR PUTTING MY DOG IN A BATH OF ACID WHICH I EXPERIENCED BEFORE. I WILL NOT BE SILENCED.

Wow.  Sucks to be your dog, dude.

I tend to think with most news papers you need only to think of the what the opposite of what their name is to figure out what they're about.  I mean 'Reason', "American Thinker" and "Pravda" (Which means Truth in Russian).

2013-09-11 10:11:21 AM
Make no mistake: Barack Hussein Obama is preparing to give a speech to the citizens of the United States of America next Tuesday in which he is planning to justify military action against Syria, with or without a nod from Congress. If he does so, he will write his name in the darkest annals of history.

I think you made a mistake.  So where did he write his name?

That's a very strange interpretation of Russia and the U.S. playing "Good Cop, Bad Cop" with Syria.

But in the past few days I've heard Republicans tell me that Obama must be two-faced because he was known as Barry in grade school, so I guess they're used to a very strange thought process.

It's funny how Benghazi was the worst thing in the history of this country, and yet, it is not even one of the fifty worst things to happen during this administration.

It's like a Rorschak test right? Everybody sees what they want to see.
I see a weak president who has been outplayed by Putin.
Put in a box, actually.

I'm not a republican and I voted for Obama twice and I see this but maybe that's because I actually have a world view and life experience living overseas.

Oh, I'm sure that Putin is going to love telling the Russian voters that he solved a problem that the U.S. could not.  But I highly doubt that Assad would have ever agreed to any such deal if the U.S. had not threatened military action.

Some people were convinced that Obama was dead set on War - that his reasoning was nothing but excuses to get at the nut-meat of what he wanted, which was WAAAR.

Therefore, finding a peaceful solution is a "failure." Because Putin accepted what Kerry offhandedly suggested.

I see a perfectly capable President who now has the potential to get exactly what he wanted in the first place without a military strike.  It's all about whether you consider the d#$%-waving rights or the actual results to be more important.
