...see, this is why I firmly believe some people just need to be shot in the back of the knees.

Dear God,
please have Tito and Big Tony take care of this.
Thank you.

The King of Swaziland is Mormon?

I say Bush invades Swaziland because of injustices to its people.

2004-01-14 02:56:11 PM
Any chance he's got WMD, or at least that people think he might have WMD?

If so, we could premise an invasion of Swaiziland on preventing the spread of WMD, and then later justify our invasion on liberating the people from his tyrannical rule!

It's good to be the King!

/can't beleive it wasn't said yet.

btw - I'm asusming "landless" and "homeless" are not quite the same thing.

I loves it. A real dictatorial tyrant is exposed in a link, and it didn't take but one post in this thread to shift the discussion to how Bush is just as bad.

He's got no assests worth stealing. US is not interested.

You can't tax swaziland's rich because there are no rich.

That's called socialist utopia

Hear that, Eurotrash? The poor, impoverished nation of Swaziland needs your donations! Quick, before the evil, brutish Americans invade and depose their rightful and beloved leader.

Of course, it is the fault of the President of the US that this guy is in power.
Oh, and there was this teacher who punched a student in the face for menacing and unplugging an overhead projector. That's GWB's fault, as well.

Appropriate use of the sick tag. Isn't this the same guy who basically kidnapped one of his 'wives' (a teenaged girl) off the street?

Oh, and here's a fun fact: Swaziland has the world's highest HIV infection rate.

I was going to post a sarcastic comment about how at least he isn't as bad as Bush.

Amazingly, you people have already posted such comments, yet you were serious.

God, people, take your blinders off. If you truly believe such nonsense about Bush being worse than people like this guy/Sadaam/Hitler, you are mentally ill. The sad part is that it's by choice.

2004-01-14 03:01:07 PM

And who the hell would pick the name of a country to be Swaziland ? I mean Superbowl MVP's go to Disneyland, do the MVP's of hopscotch go to Swaziland ?

"Sorry Swaziland is closed. The starving street urchin out front should have told you that."

How is it that an entire continent, extending into most of the middle east, can be a thousand years behind the rest of the world. Tribalism maybe?

The best part about Swaziland is that it is a landlocked little island wedged between South Africa and Mozambique.

Isn't this the country that the World Health Organization made an appeal to stop beating their prisoners with chains because the blood on the chains transmitted HIV?

Sounds like a swell bunch of fellas.

So .. we just can't read the article and say .. man, that's pretty sad. Thank God (or whatever else you hold dear) I wasn't born there. Nope, we have to BASH BASH BASH. I do sincerely hope that the majority of these posts were biting wit and not true sentiment.

I'm suprised he didn't opt for building his palaces out of the bones of his servants. If I'm going to be a ruthless dictator - I'm goin all the way baby - Impaled enemies (a la Vlad the Impaler) all over the place.

Let's see: Dictator? Check! Stalinist? Check!

Nope, the UN or the Left will say anything bad about him!

GEOSPRINT

go through history and find a civilization/empire/nation/state/city/village/man/woman/child who has done ONLY good and never harmed anyone, then come back here and report on it.

You may think your attitude that Americans have no right to comment on morality because we've done morally questionable things in the past is pretty harmless. But how can we survive if all that ever gets mentioned are the few instances in our nation's history when we've undertaken an action that turned out to be morally wrong? How can we help anyone in this world if every time we try to help someone, we have OUR OWN CITIZENS saying we're so evil?

Sadly, this seems to be normal behavior for 3rd world leaders. All the aid these countries get goes right into the pockets of the leadership. The people rarely even have clean water.

I remember reading once about a tribe in Africa that had this interesting practice: If, during a king's rule, he was considered incompetent by his subjects, he was given a gourd of a certain color. Upon recieving the gourd, he was obliged to kindly kill himself for the betterment of the kingdom.

This jerk needs to be sent a gourd of a certain color.

2004-01-14 03:10:17 PM
Since one of the main arguments republicans use for justifying the invasion of Iraq (Since they lost the WMD debate) was that the leader was a bad guy and since we have the power to remove him, we should - I wonder how long it will take for Bush to invade Swaziland.

Patrick Swasi has his own country? I mean dirty dancing was kinda ghey, but his own country?
