Coco LaFemme: George Zimmerman is as worthless as a broken dildo and just as useful.  The only reason this shiatstain is a national name is because Florida is a few fries short of a Happy Meal.  Whatever your personal opinion of the Trayvon Martin case, one of them was armed with the gun, the other had iced tea and Skittles, and the one with the gun isn't in jail.

HotWingConspiracy: Phinn: Hobodeluxe: I'm sure his buddies at the local PD and Mark O'Mara will make all of this go away.

The local PD that Zimmerman protested about their nepotism and failure to prosecute the beating of a black homeless man?

Yeah, that wins you buddies in the PD, every time.  Cops love being criticized publicly.

Elegy: Hobodeluxe: I'm sure his buddies at the local PD and Mark O'Mara will make all of this go away.

You mean the local PD... the one Zimmerman ran a publicity campaign against using his own time and money, seeking justice for a homeless black man they beat and then swept under the rug?

That local PD?

I'm sure he has a lot of friends in the department, you're totally right.

You guys have this shiat down to a science, eh?

Well, when you guys have spouted the same false bullshiat for over a year, it gets easy to make with the stock responses.

"George Zimmerman bites 5 puppies' heads off"

Average Farker: "Ha, you didn't even read the article. He bit off the heads of 4 of the puppies, then cut off the 5th head with a knife and didn't completely eat all the heads. And he's not even being charged. Typical libs, like why do we even care about this."

Luckily for Zimmerman, his trial (and the rest of the trials in the country) aren't conducted in Coco LaFemme's Court of Public Opinion.

You're right, that is a good thing.  I never said otherwise.  I'm allowed to not like how the verdict of a trial came out.  I'm allowed to think that a mistake had been made.  Just like people who think different are allowed to say the right decision was made.  That's how this weird "free speech" thing works.

One day Zimmerman's going to cross the wrong person...get shot...said wrong person will get convicted for manslaughter...and finally Zimmerman will be avenged.

Carth: George Zimmerman's wife not planning to press charges in domestic dispute. Guess the threats weren't that serious but hey it got them in the news again! Between saving people from car accidents and getting pulled over for speeding this is the longest 15 minutes of fame ever.

He already has a domestic violence record, as well as being accused on the record of child molestation. If she hasn't pressed charges before now against the sleazeball she probably wouldn't this time either.

A mutual restraining order between him and his girlfriend at the time, that the cours called "routine."

And an accusation of child molestation by an anonymous accuser that has never come forward. The same anonymous accuser, in fact, that claimed "if you look into Zimmerman's personal life you'll see evidence of his racism everywhere," which is amazing, given that the FBI interviewed 30 of Zimmerman's coworkers and acquaintances and couldn't find the tiniest bit of evidence that Zimmerman was racist, or had ever said or done anything racist.

Seriously. This is the best you can do?

What's funny is this Phinn guy has spent the last year defending Zimmerman and pretending there was no racial motive, but by trying to be clever with that last post, he just admitted that yes, Zimmerman was following Trayvon because he was black.

This ... is why you fail.

What I've been arguing all this time is that Zimmerman had the RIGHT to follow Martin, whether he actually did so because Martin was black, or whether Zimmerman happened to have a level of racial neutrality that you personally find to be politically acceptable.  I have no way of knowing why Zimmerman actually followed Martin, other than to say that he thought he was suspicious.  His contemporaneous statements at the time, on the recorded call to the police, stand as the only un-rebutted evidence on his motive.

And, considering that Zimmerman went into business with a black friend, is himself one-eighth black, and organized a protest for the police's lack of response to the beating of a black man, I'd say that the evidence of racial animus is pretty much non-existent.

Whether Zimmerman was following Martin out of race-tainted suspicion, or just by virtue of Martin being a single teenaged male walking aimlessly at night with no other apparent purpose, the fact remains that Zimmerman was suspicious, and that he had the RIGHT to observe and report people he subjectively found to be suspicious.  Police actively encourage that.  It's legal.

If, however, Zimm ...

You wouldn't have brought up ethnicity if you didn't think that was the reason Zimmerman had followed the kid. You could've just said elderly woman, you didn't have to say Chinese. Just be honest. Why are you scared to be honest?

If, however, Zimmerman was, in fact, suspicious of Martin "because he was black," then that, too, would have been entirely rational, because (not knowing anything else about Martin at the time, such as his history of possessing jewelry that had been stolen from a residence near his high school), young black males commit a highly disproportionate number of residential burglaries.  And that his particular neighborhood had actually been recently burglarized by actual young black males.

That's reality.  Accepting reality is rational, and rationality does not care about your fee-fees, or how much it may offend your politics.

Have you tested the legal following doctrine in real life yet?

Because I really think you should. You know, for the LULZ.

No. I just think it's strange that in a case with a man shooting a child and a man getting in a fight with his ex-wife three different people decided that anyone who disagrees with them on an issue must love sucking penises or being penetrated anally.

It was a gun incident.  What happened with Trayvon?  That was a gun incident.  You'll see if you put them side by side several similarities.  First, "gun".  It's there clear as a bell.  Second, "incident".  Even a moron can see that.  So now, we count them, and we find there are two gun incidents going on here.  And that indicates a pattern of behavior.  It's like the guy is just carrying around a gun looking for incidents.  The only question you need to ask is how important do I think stopping gun incident number three is.  If you answered using the words "gun" or "incident" then you can see that I am right.  Ergo, definitely a racist murderer last time.

It's legal.

No, I haven't. Following someone like that is stupid. Legal, but not my style.

Personally, I try to either leave people alone or kill them. Those middle levels on the use-of-force continuum are nothing but trouble.
