Yeh. In other news, Shellie Zimmerman's not exactly a news junkie. Also, she's deaf. And blind. And none too smart, apparently.

Would you say she's a pinball wizard?

There needs to be MORE perjury charges in most jurisdictions...they're way too lenient on that kind of crap in way too many divorce situations.

I'm not saying anything about how common it is, but I've heard it's fairly standard for some lawyers to have the woman apply for a protective order against their husband alleging threat as a tactic to improve their position by making him look like a scumbag, distract him with all the rules/restrictions a restraining order places(such as having to rush to dispose of any guns they have), etc...

Weaver95: Well at least he didn't kill anyone this time.

Going by the latest research there's actually roughly a 50% chance he was the one battered.  It's just that women are more likely to be seriously injured and report it than men.

She says he tried to shut the garage door on her. He's gone full Scream.

She sounds like my ex who kept trying to rope me into staying with her by thinking crazy actions would tie me to her, conniving and manipulative because a woman could never ever be a big meanie.

"George may try to shoot us" Yeah thats a drama queen if I have ever heard one.

I am betting he went over to get shiat from her, she yelled at him and said he wasnt taking shiat, the dad intervened and got shoved, she dropped her ipad, then is hamming it up for the call, love her fake crying that she turned on and off at will. Shes faking it all but everyone will be on her side.

Alpha Sierra Foxtrot: LeroyBourne: Alpha Sierra Foxtrot: LeroyBourne: She's a lame AW.  I saw on the news complaining about how the trial was so hard on their relationship and she just wasn't sure if they could work it out.  Yeesh, no one flipping cares.

She was probably hoping he'd get convicted because then she could either stay with him, but far away from him or divorce him when he couldn't get to her.

ehhh, it's not like he has any money to take.  It would be better to divorce, isn't he still in debt to the lawyers?  I wouldn't want to be apart of that debt if I were her.

Probably, but I mean...speaking from a woman's perspective...if I knew my husband was somewhat villainous, it might be worth it to me to remain legally married to him if he was locked up because I wouldn't have to actually do anything wifely, but he couldn't actually harm me because he's in prison. I get all the benefits of being single and I don't arouse his ire.

I can understand that.  But INAL, but who inherits the debt if he were convicted?  I would guess she would, so divorce is the only option.  Thank goodness she didn't have any kids with this guy, think about what their future would have been like.

Firethorn: Going by the latest research there's actually roughly a 50% chance he was the one battered. It's just that women are more likely to be seriously injured and report it than men.

That, and the fact that after the Violence Against Women Act, police departments adopted the policy that whenever any woman makes any accusation of violence (justified or not) against any man in a domestic situation, with or without evidence, regardless of the responding officer's assessment of what happened, the police will forcibly remove the man from the premises or arrest him.

In contrast, men don't have the legal power to merely point a finger at a woman and have her hauled off against her will.

That's the patriarchy I keep hearing about, I guess.

Don't believe a dam thing the wife says when there is a divorce in the works... My ex accused me of abuse, yet I never laid a finger on her in anger, a there was never a call to the police.

Now if there is a witness.. its a different story, but I never saw one when I scanned the article.

The following is emboldened for emphasis.if there's a moral of this zimmerman arrest: be careful who you cape up for. they might make a fool of you.@bomani_jones

Which is why it's important to examine each case on the evidence.   I didn't think there was evidence to convict Z of murdering M, but that doesn't affect my opinion HERE.

Here, we'll have to wait and see what develops.  Since it sounds like a divorce situation, key point for me will be third-party witness testimony, if any.

Except he didn't. In the wife's own words "he's in his car and continually has his hand on his gun."

That's not even blandishment, if all he was doing was sitting in the car where his gun happens to be.

Wait, what am I doing?

ZOOOOOMMMMGGGG HE WAS WAVING AROUND THE GUN AND THREATENING TO RAPE HIS WIFE AT THE TOP
