And, even sadder still, I saw the submissions from their interns and a good number of those were brilliant.

Nah, I work with a lot of Marketing people. They mostly actually believe what they are saying. And they are the only ones on the planet who do.

I guarantee that at least 60% of Yahoo's internal emails about that thing use the word "exciting" and mean it.

I've been in marketing and creative services for about 23 years. You're right. We sometimes tend to drink our own Kool Aid. But, in our defense, a lot of times the client or project lead comes up with the dumbest idea you ever heard in your life. A good creative services professional has to be a good sales person as well.

Big Monet fan here. Actually got to go to the "Van Gogh Museum". Left disappointed.

His best stuff is in better museums, but if you are in the area, stop by, it's worth it to see a lot of the draft work that was there.

Not far off. Marissa Mayer (their leader is a she) put together a few people and they did it themselves. With Mayer at the controls of illustrator for parts of the process, apparently. They did not spend a bajillion dollars on it, and it's a modest upgrade.

Get over yourself. Doctors change, companions change. If you want a show where the lead characters are always exactly the same, watch NCIS. Or basically anything else on TV.

+1 internets to you subby, epic headline.

And that's possibly one of the most deeply emotional and awesome episodes I've ever seen from any version of that show.

The single best episode. Period.  And what gets me is not the scene in the gallery, but the scene when they're lying out under the stars.

Who cares? Van Gogh did it in a few hours and wasn't happy with it. I'd much sooner put up a Bob Ross print than one of this piece.
