I'm not sure how this is going to get the guy money for his disability. It's not even clear what his disability is.

It looked like he was reading them off of something.

What's the capital of TURN YOUR FREAKING PHONE SIDEWAYS?

Well, he's got a head start on the foreign service exam. Now, lets do hypothetical pipelines.

This kid's brain is a sponge and I hope this video helps get him into a good preschool somehow.  Nothing can replace a good early educational development program and Lebron seems worthy of a scholarship if his family truly can't shoulder the costs.

I don't think he was reading them. If you watch long enough, he stumbles over a couple of them. Too bad this is nearly useless save for the memorization skills.

This is cool.  But to be fair, little kids have a remarkable ability to remember things. My son could name pretty much every airplane every built by its name, including the pilot (if he/she was famous).  It was like a clinic based only on photos.  People's jaws would drop drop when he would point them out.  It was fun as his dad, acting like he was a genius...

He's now 13 and can only remember about a third of them.  Little kids have lots of space in their brains. Either that or my kid is losing it...  :)

You do realize this kid is 3 years old right?  For him to be reading those names, it would be far more impressive than the simple repetitive memorization skill he's pulling off here.

Jail in 14 years instead of 13, you mean?

Who the hell cares?

Seriously, knowing the names of capitals is not going to get you anywhere in life, son.

I have never once in my adult life ever needed to know the capital of South Africa or any other country.  it's basically useless information prancing around to make people feel smart.

Knowing the phone number of the closest American embassy in whatever country you're in would be much more useful.  Knowing the address might even be better.  Not going to some shiathole of a 3rd world country might actually be smart.

There's no such country as 'West Xylophone'!

Ditto.  For my son it was dinosaurs, followed by trucks and heavy machinery, followed by He Man characters.  He had an amazing ability to memorize and recall things at that age.  He remembers very little of it.

Dude can't be that broke if he can afford a phone with a camera. How about you give that monthly payment up and save up for your kid's school?

Put him in school so he can drop out? Whatever.
