Walt shoots Mrs Milf
Jesse shoots Hank
Hank shoots Jesse

seems the admins corrected the headline.

on another note, will tonight be the night that Jesse dies? According to the article, there's an incredibly tough scene for Jesse coming up in one of these episodes. Maybe it's his death?

I think if these first four episodes of this final season have taught us anything, it's that Vince Gilligan and the rest of his crew don't give a damn what people think is "supposed" to happen.  I have no idea what's going to happen, and I love it.

My hope is that no matter what, Marie eats a bullet by the end of the series. She's the only one I truly hate.

The theory I liked from WIRED (I believe) was that with each killing in the series Walt takes on aspects of the person killed. If you believe that theory, Walt's bacon 52 means Skyler dies, and Walt's wearing a Jesse like jacket means Jesse dies.

I also appreciate that "lindelof" is now a verb meaning to rape your series by farking up the ending in ways you were warned about years earlier, and also as a form of erectile dysfunction. Synonoms: boborci.

Walt goes into witness protection and then the cancer takes him.  Dying anonymously, he's buried in an unmarked grave.  Nobody attends his funeral, and nobody knows he's dead.  The money is never recovered.

I like that idea and it makes sense. Though I think the jacket is Todd's not Jessie's

How Will  Breaking Bad End?
Here Are 7 Mind-Blowing Theories

It's helpful that Gilligan worked on the X Files where he learned a lot and did a fantastic job, but all in all the X files ending was disappointing.

Related? These days, I am a bit annoyed at how many shows have adopted the revised X Files format, which is to devote each episode 90% to Show Formula Plot sandwiched in between 5% segments devoted to Show Mythos. (Burn Notice is the poster child for that, but I think it shows up in many shows I've been netflixing/downloading/binging)

Walt will go on a rampage, taking out hank and marie, before Hank jr. discovers it and leaves to get help. Baby White finds the gun, kills walt jr., and is then gunned down by the SWAT team. The end roll credits.

If Lydia is the new Gus (or trying to be), would that mean that the ricin is for her (since it was made for Jesse to take out Gus)?

2013-09-08 05:13:25 PM
Nothing will happen to Jesse until the series finale, if then.

2013-09-08 06:18:21 PM
Last scene, a cancer devastated Walt lying in a bed with a morphine drip... then he opens his eyes suddenly and realizes that he just had a really farked up drug induced hallucination.

Seriously, after seeing Gus walk out of the room like that after the explosion there is no other answer. It also explains why Walt is always so lucky.

Lydia is no Gus. Yeah, she transports drugs and chemicals and stuff, but she's not really "in the drug game". She has no experience with the more  unseemly side of things. She didn't even want to see the dead bodies after Todd's people took care of business.

Her character is so forgettable that the actress probably only has a job because she sucked off some writer

yeah, Jesse dying tonight would pretty much kill most of the conflict in the show. Sure Hank still wants to nail Walt but without Jesse, he's got nuthin. The tape Jesse made is worthless, especially given the tape Walt made.

/why are we still calling them tapes?

RoyBatty: devote each episode 90% to Show Formula Plot sandwiched in between 5% segments devoted to Show Mythos.

This is called "A-Plot, B-Plot" and it's been around forever. Most of the time, the problem-of-the-week is the A plot, with a few scenes about the mythos in the B-plot. Some shows balance this tension very well- "Veronica Mars" did a great job with it. The problem is that most shows are written by a large stable of writers. It's difficult to give each writer control over their own episode  and keep the overall arc moving in the same direction. Couple this with the fact that a lot of shows  still can't rely on an orderly airing of episodes, and it becomes actively important for the producers to de-emphasize the arc in favor of delivering a good, stand-alone A-plot.

For the same reason that we call music compilations "Records", entering someones telephone number to call them "Dialing", taking someones picture with a digital device a "Photograph" and so on. It somehow just sounds right in our advanced monkey brains, just like ATM machine and PIN number.

The problem I have with it is that having spent a bit too much time in the past six months bingeing on shows, watching entire seasons in a weekend, it becomes clear that for many modern shows, the A plot is almost literally a fill in the blanks template. Burn Notice, Eureka, there is often very little that is new or original or insightful or anything about the A Plot, and yet, I suspect that what made the show interesting enough to air in the first place was a pilot showing a rich A Plot.

And maybe this is a problem with bingeing but eventually, it's like fark the A Plot, just show me the B Plot moments, because, especially in Burn Notice for instance, the B Plot occurs 97% of the time in the first 3 and last 5 minutes of the episode and the A Plot does nothing to advance mythos or character depth it is just a place for commercials.

In other news from old man shouts at cloud news, I was pretty annoyed to see Samuel L. Jackson play his usual role in the new trailer to the rehashed RoboCop.

I never get any predictions right, so you can pretty much bank on this not happening, but my only prediction is that tonight opens with the plaza scene, and when Walt is looking for Jesse, he pauses a bit. Tonight we find out when he paused, he saw Hank in the van. He then calls Todd to put the hit on Hank, since he now knows Hank is working with Jesse. Also, Todd's boys want payment in cooking time.

I don't see how Walt stays out of the game (to steal The Wire's term) forever.  You're probably right about him giving Todd that "tutorial" that Lydia asked for in the first episode of this season.

In an attempt to poison Jesse, Walt accidentally poisons his entire family with the ricin and gets to spend their final days alive with this knowledge.  Because he is on the run, he does not get to say goodbye to them.

Didn't Gilligan reference one specific action he would take that would make us all finally go, OH HELL NAW! Nothing that I can think of really comes to mind. Maybe I'm just desensitized.

Poisoning Brock probably fits that description, as would being an accessory after the fact to the murder of Drew Sharp.

There is one line left to cross, though. Murder of a family member.
