So, my unprofessional opinion is that Dallas needs to work on it's offense, and while we gave up several long passing plays, our defense is way better than it was last year.

mikaloyd: Id give the game ball to the Cowboys defense

I'd give the game ball to David Wilson

smerfnablin: How can anyone look at these two teams and compare them to other NFC contenders?

After today watching Falcons/Saints, Packers/Niners and then this game, I can only describe this game as the NFC version of "you've seen the best, now see the rest!"

bionicjoe: With the RBs it was a team effort to dig that hole.

Fair enough, but Eli was a significant part of it. And that fourth TD and 80 or so yards was completely useless for anything but FFB.

I'd pitch it to Tashard Choice.

At that point of a game it's just practice. Why not run the 2 minute offense? Would HB traps be a smarter play? (not with those RBs)

bionicjoe: 262 yards on 49 attempts
5.3 YPA

Have fun with another Garrett offense, Cowboys fans.

And who won?

Well, that was interesting.  Congrats Di!  :D

This has been a crazy football weekend.  It's been fun hanging out with you guys (more fun than watching my team get destroyed and/or dealing with real life, lol).  I might be here tomorrow evening, might not...but either way, here's hoping for entertaining games and no more injuries plz kthx.

Peace!  :)

Just saying Manning doesn't deserve any credit for beating a defense that was giving away any pass over the middle for the entire drive.

PITCH IT TO TASHARD CHOICE!

I mean... kudos, and truce for the purposes of statistics gathering and better GRAFination until November?

We must always join forces for the good of spreading the reality of statistics for the greater good of knowledgable visual data, ok I'm just word-salading at this point.

And zingers and jokes are AWESOME if they're FUNNY. Just being a dick doesn't count! But you're not very good at being a dick, so we're all good. :)

I'm not giving him credit for anything.
What were the Giants supposed to do late in the game? Teams treat situations like that as full-speed practice.

This was a crap game for two teams that are gonna be in 7-way ties for the wild card by week 14.

2013-09-08 11:55:32 PM
I did like the line about Dallas running the 'slow hurry up' - no huddle then Romo spending 25 seconds yelling and pointing to snap the ball with one second left on the clock.

Six turnovers, man. I'm hearing grumblings that we forced six turnovers, but then didn't beat them by "enough." I mean, I get that, but six turnovers! I feel like that's more than we had all year last year.

Anyway. All those things you said: yes.

FFS, local news leads off their broadcast with "wow, WSU fans were really excited that they won the game against USC"...and spend six full minutes talking about it. Guess it must be a slow news weekend.

I love that they have a live reporter down in Pullman to report on last night's celebrations...no, nothing happened. Just people yelled and cheered and got drunk. Same as every weekend.

As a fan of statistics and numbers I would figure you knew that six is less than sixteen. I was wrong.

Our lead-off story here is about the danger of large birds living at the lake near the airport. Nothing happened or anything. Just, you know.... there are birds that live on the lake by the airport.

I have a lot of things memorized. I didn't know that number off the top of my head. However, I do believe that however many turnovers we caused/benefited from last year, it was the lowest in the league.

I kinda like that Wolfman Rob takes a friendly celebratory punch at vaccaros shoulder and misses completely Vaccaro never even notices he just acts like he ALWAYS taps the ball out of tony gonzales' hands to win games in the last minute. no big whoop. Vacarro will be scary good by the end of the season

Oh yeah, gotta love that, both Kenny's  calm and the immediate dividends he's paying, hehe. And yeah, he's only gonna get better.

Captain Steroid: My picks for today go as follows:

- Patriots kill the Bills, try to blame Aaron Hernandez.

- Bengals maul DAAAA' Bears!

- Dolphins leave the "Factory of Sadness" smelling like tuna.

- AP runs over the Lions. Oh, and some guys from Minnesota help, too. I guess.

- GO OTHER PONIES! XD

- Breesus dines on Falcon.

- Buccaneers pillage New Jersey.

- The Steel Curtain falls on Tennessee.

- Seattle beats Carolina, smells like teen spirit.

- Chiefs and Jags are swallowed by a Florida sinkhole, never to plague mankind again.

- The St. Louis Rams top the Arizona Cardinals, marking a rare occasion that St. Louis cheers a Cardinal team getting their asses whupped.

- Aaron Rodgers takes THE CAKE, shoves it up Jim Harbaugh's whiny ass. >:-)

- Eli and the Giants destroy Jerry Jones' team in Dallas, officially rechristen Cowboy Stadium as Meadowlands West.

Wow, I hope you didn't have too much money on those picks.

mikaloyd: Jets win Jets Win Jets win

Saints a whole game up on NFC South

The local Fox affiliate switched to that game after our win over ATL. I don't hate Tampa but I obviously don't want them to win, either. I'm sorry to revel in others' misfortunes, but that PF officially made my day as a fan perfect. Division win, and CAR and TB losses. My fantasy, on the other hand, was an unmitigated disaster.

Though it's meaningless right now, at least I can say the Saints lead the NFC South.

/I'm commenting in a ghost thread, aren't I?
