Just one more aspect where the SEC is overrated, then.

FTA: Hostesses in the Orange Pride program providing sex to recruits.

I wonder how the heck they recruit girls for that? Are there girls so dedicated to the success of their college sports programs that willing have sex with high school age kids in hopes that it will make them come play for the school? Or is it more of sorority initiation/peer pressure type of thing?

Yes, its probably incredibly difficult to find women willing to sleep with top-notch football players.

Don't worry though: Things have really been cleaned up since T. Boone has been carpet-bombing the university with money.

Aww, another SEC attempt to get special treatment from a governing body.

Eh, there have always been sluts.  This is just a way to harness them for the good of the school.

What's really pathetic is the SEC learned from watching their old conference, the SWC set the bar for not caring if people knew they cheated.

Hell Johnny B Good was an 80s movie about those corruption stories.

Yeah, but how do you recruit for it so they know where to be? Is there a listserv at OSU or do they put up flyers in the quad?

The student health center tracks the number of VD shots and Plan B pills dispensed.  By Junior year they've got a good database built up.

Something broke in the collective minds of non-SEC football after the Alabama-LSU National Championship Game.  The hatred has become pathological.  I'm surprised someone hasn't been in here already complaining about the soft SEC non-con schedule that involved Georgia losing to a top-10 Clemson team and Florida losing to Miami.

What I find the funniest is how the SEC plays such a weak schedule according to everyone else yet almost every big opening game the past few years have involved an SEC team.

The issue isn't that sec teams play weak schedules it's that every sec conference games isn't against Alabama. The claims by sec fans that every week is a grind falls flat when you look below the 3rd or 4th team. Kentucky sucks, Tennessee sucks, vanderbilt sucked, ole miss usually sucks, miss state usually sucks, Missouri sucks, auburn occasionally sucks.
That being said it was nice to watch your bulldogs take out captain visor. They looked strong and it was fun to watch.

If you've slept with ten or more players by the end of your sophomore year, you get selected. The current players provide references.

Oh, is that what it is this week?  Because last week it was all about a weak OOC schedule that included games against Georgia Tech. Clemson, Florida State, TCU, Texas, Boise State, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Oregon, Louisville and Michigan.

It's every week, every year. When an sec team plays a weak ooc and falls back on "but we play in the sec" and their conference schedule consists of 9 bottom feeders then I'll call bs. No top 50 team should be playing FBS teams as far as I am concerned, but no one asks me.
The sec is great, but that shouldn't eliminate all other teams from contention.

Paying players is fine till they start beating teams they are not suppose to.  SMU got the death penalty because of it.  Auburn beating the Ducks, a whole team bought and paid for by Nike, what have brought some major shiat on them if Cam stayed rather than get drafted.

So if Stanford wins the national championship this year only teams in the Pac-12 should be considered for the national championship next year?

Gundy (current head coach) took over after 2004 season I think.  He was also OC under Miles, both started in 2001, when the findings began.  I find it hard to believe that these things stopped in 2007 with Gundy still coaching, especially considering their recent rise to prominence.  University hasn't denied anything immediately; I wonder how long it will be before Gundy gets fired.

Incidentally, Gundy's "I'm a MAN, I'm FORTY, come after ME" tirade was in 2007.  Looks like someone took that last bit to heart

The SEC had six consecutive NC's before Missouri ever joined.  Mock me all you want, but the record is what it is and has been for a while.

My biggest problem with that is yeah I know there are weaker teams but most years they are competitive and are stronger than most of the teams in other conferences, I mean come on, UW/WSU combined went like 2-20 over a couple years and barely had 20 wins in one 5 year period. I think you can say that out of most conferences, you have those that are always thought to be the top and then those who sometimes are average to good but when ole piss was good I would give them a good shot at most conferences but they were not deep enough for the SEC. You have maybe 5-6 that are top tier teams and the rest are average, for the SEC but that would be different in other conferences, IMO, you cant say that other conferences that have 5-6 going for the NCG every year, some pac idiots will argue that point and thats fine, except reality is they have 3 maybe 4 yearly that have a shot and up until 5 years ago they had one team that regularly contended for the NCG.

Mentat: The SEC had six consecutive NC's before Missouri ever joined.

And if another conference had a team in every single year, then they'd have a lot more titles, too.

It's kinda like saying America's awesome at the LLWS when they're guaranteed a spot in the finals every year by virtue of how the tournament is set up. In order to make an NC game outside of the SEC, you have to finish with a record better than anyone in the SEC.
