So what are we drinking tonight?

Donnchadha: 15 FG in a row is a Michigan record?

They must have had some terrible kickers over the years.

College kickers aren't usually known for their accuracy, or leg strength.  They just kinda happen in the pros.

I'm currently drinking a "tart of darkness" from the bruery.

Sh*t, son, we don't flex on losing games over here.

/those schools must not be as afraid of you as they are of us
//if you're taking this seriously you're ridiculous - I'm just saying that sh*t to troll the f*ck out of steamingpile for being a b*tch about me talking about the game I'm watching

Also, Michigan doesn't seem like the best type of place to be kicking.

ND's record is at least 20... David Ruffer a few years ago, but I didn't dig out their media guide to find out if that's actually the record.

Well yeah but it sucks because that means we may have one more year at most with him then he's gone.

I'm OK with this.

Pfffft aren't you the GT fan though or are the one I always confuse as a GT fan?

Yes, I am the person who becomes an alcoholic every football season.

Oh good, Knight has a slight injury so now we can talk about how heroic he is to overcome a jammed finger on his non-throwing hand.

Smoking some Kurple, 2nd place in the Colorado Cannabis cup.

Drinking some sangria.  Saving beer for my 11 hours of football gloriousness tomorrow.

To be perfectly honest, I knew the Irish were going to have a bad defensive game after they gave up so many yards to Temple last week.  Just didn't think it'd be *this* bad.  Oh well, time to finish off the Chairman's Reserve....

they have always play michigan state, they have only "recently" played michigan (one of the first guarantee games before schools decided 1aa were better guarantees).  i think it's something like 70+ years of michigan state and 30+ years of michigan.

they are both storied programs, but only somewhat recent annual rivals.

77th year for the Spartan game, 85 for SC and Purdue.  I get it, but I still don't like it.

He just started today. It was the number of the first Heisman winner at UM, who (it was news to me) was also Colonel Gibbs' dad.

Apparently Michigan (like many other college programs) doesn't retire numbers; however (unlike other college programs) it specifically uses famous numbers as honors to good players.

Mark Harmon's dad won Michigan's first Heisman wearing that number.  He's honoring him, and will wear it the rest of his career.

completely understand.  after all michigan state and purdue are worthless, so why not leave them behind?  but if you're pretending tradition matters (and not just cash) it's defensible.

the only thing dumber is texas and texas a&m pretending they aren't going to play again.  jerry needs to step it up and buy that game already.

I don't know how unlike it is, to be honest.  I've heard of it happening other places.
