Wow, that's sketchy at best.  My kid has a neurologist in NH.  I hope they don't start suggesting to cut into his brains.

Former co-worker of mine just passed away from this last week.  Pretty farked up disease to die from.  His was hereditary.

From the symptoms list, I'd say every Farker has it already.

I dunno, maybe go to the Groovy Smoothie and have a taco on a stick with the money I saved by being gifted a TotalFark membership? ;)

CJD is bad bad mojo.

back when I was doing consulting work I dealt with a bunch of research doctors at Duke University that were looking in to CJD. I was always nervous going in to their research facility because the /researchers/ were nervous about CJD. They would constantly call it spooky or weird and that they didn't understand how it worked or how it spread. Very scary stuff.

/CSB?

It's a really terrible thing...having read the symptoms, I never could bring myself to go visit my co-worker before he passed.  I preferred to remember him as he had been before.  I painted a few portraits of him to give to his family, and had another co-worker bring them to them a few months before he passed.  Hope they brought the family some peace.  Can't imagine watching a loved one go through that.
