Fark with an elephant, you get a trunk in the face!

That's the Chicago way.  India?  where is this?

That elephant was about as gentle as it could be with the dumbarse.

It's like the idjits I saw at Yellowstone that were treating the buffalo as if they were lap dogs that were dying to have their head fur scritched.

I read the title as "elephant biatch" slaps guy, and I'm thinking, "There's no reason to call the elephant a biatch just for standing her ground!"

Not a pachyderm psychologist, but I'd guess the flappy ear gesture means something along the lines of "You're making me nervous, and I'm about flip a sh*t if you don't back off."

Of course not.

Yeah, the guy was trying to force food on the elephant, when it was clearly not wanting to eat anything. Stick stuff in my face and I'll be sure to slap your sorry asss away.

Still not as bad as when a circus elephant went batshiate in Hawaii. Graphic Vid is NSFW and Not safe for people who don't like seeing people getting mauled to death or elephant executed by firing squad.

There's a new curriculum being discussed for something similar at U.C. San Diego.

I didn't say "I", did I?  I said "a person".

Perhaps you should refresh yourself on the concept of pronouns.

/And I need to refresh myself on apostrophe use.

I think elephants are a lot like humans.

You got nice ones and mean ones.

Unlike humans however, all elephants can kick your ass and are totally unafraid to do it.

I believe that means it's hot outside.  Blood rushes through the elephants thin ears and he flaps them to cool the blood.

It was the incessant feeding which was the final straw, but then he tried to pet it, all lovey dovey... I wanted to swat him myself.

I'm pretty sure the elephant slapped him for wearing those hideous shorts.

The only thing I found threatening about this video is the piss-poor site on which it's posted. What, are we just going from piss-poor site to piss-poor site, reposting old videos for greenlights?

The trunk slap was another signal (after all previous efforts were ignored) for the guy to step off.

The elephant was being cool, actually.

A long time ago I was in Africa on a Peace Corps mission.  One of the other newbies (who had never seen an elephant except in a book) heard that we would pass through elephant country on the way to our posting and asked about them "What do they do?"  "Anything they want."

Magnificent, elegant, dignified creatures.  And if you disrespect them they will flap their ears and if you don't get the hint, they will slap you with their trunks and finally will stomp your sorry ass.

Saw the remains of a hyena that tried to bother a baby elephant.  You think mama bears are badass?  Elephants are badder.

End CSB.

Not nervous. Angry. That's a sign that it's really annoyed/getting pissed off. That love tap was also a very mild warning. False charges are next, which can easily quickly escalate to full charges. At which point you'll find out if they're just pissy with you, or want you stomped dead. So sayeth the many nature shows I've watched. I also really dig elephants. That one looks like maybe it was in Thailand or something, a work elephant. They're typically raised from a very young age by/with their handler for logging work in the forests where they can move more easily through the growth than any machine. I don't know if that's a good life for the elephants though tbh.

*TWEEEEEET*.   Markley's Law violation.  Fifteen yard penalty and automatic loss of argument.

Plus, two other points:

1. You also seem to have problems with pronouns.  I didn't say "I", I said "a person".  Rufus Xavier Sarsparilla frowns upon your lack of understanding.

2. Would you shoot an elephant with a single shot .22 LR pocket derringer?  The physics of the situation demand an adequately sized firearm.  You're shooting an animal that can weigh several tons.  Projectile size matters here.

I actually made friends with an elephant once (she was at a fair I was working at)
I'd bring her Pop-Tarts, which she really loved.  She run over when she'd see me and give me a gentle (for an elephant) hug with her trunk.
It was one of the coolest interactions with a wild animal I ever had....
(I also gave a baboon a banana split and fed berries to a baby Siberian Grizzly, but they both still wanted to kill me after they ate)
