That tweet seemed like a good idea to someone.

It wasn't.

Oh good, more manufactured outrage.

Oh, wow.  I actually thought it was mildly cute, especially since there are no "boots on the ground" yet - but even I can see why it wouldn't be the best of ideas.

Since the repeal of DADT,  sandals, pumps and loafers is applicable...

/Weasel is a bad person.

Some people take shiat way too seriously. These people typically have American flag bumper stickers and yellow ribbon stickers on their SUVs.

2013-09-05 09:41:22 PM
Heh. It was funny. Get that stick out of your asses people.

2013-09-05 09:42:24 PM
do people have some safe deposit box where they keep this surplus of farks that they just throw around all willy-nilly?

War should be mocked, until people stop making war frivolously.

fark "credibility" and the military-industrial complex. The hawks are the one who should be laughingstocks.

"They're rioting in Egypt. Guess they heard about our spring sale."

I lol'd when I read it the first time.

At least there's no mention of a dead dog.

Sorry Subby, but of all the worthless pastimes we humans engage in, I'd call "war" just about the single most mock-able.

To hell with boots, sandals, and pumps on the ground - To hell even with sending a few Tomahawks up a camel's butt - Time for US to stop playing unilateral cop-to-the-world.  If the UN has no will to act, and it doesn't pose a direct threat to US soil - Stay the fark out of it!  We've made quite enough enemies trying to "save" the savages from themselves, thankyouverymuch.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do amounts to simply watching the monkeys tear each other to bits.  Because if you get in between them, they'll gleefully tear you to bits as well.

Old Ken Cole was a merry old soul
And a merry old soul was he
He called for his pipe
And he called for his bowl
And we'll have some of what he's smoking.

(Apologies to George Carlin)

Begun the Fashion War has.

Who cares. War mongers should be mocked, and forced to the front. Their kids as well. Kill all them biatches.

"My life is way, way too good and I need to find something, however ridiculous, but at least trendy, to fight for in order to keep some sort of sense of purpose!"

Yeah, that's the obscene part. Not the guys making billions of dollars in profit manufacturing bombs, bullets, tanks, and jets.

2013-09-05 10:06:24 PM
With the new Kenneth Cole fall line, you're going to be a weapon of mass seduction. Our couture is the bomb. It will be hard for guys not to cross the red line when they see your sassy couture, so it will be up to you to set the rules of engagement. Our styles are flying off the shelves so fact that we hardly have time to bag em and tag em, so if you want to shock and awe everyone this season, look for Kenneth Cole wherever fine products are proliferated.

Agreed. I had a chuckle.

I know this is a serious situation, but it's no use being all serious and waiting for Obama to make yet another colossal mistake in his presidency.

Never safe to mock war in the U.S..

Ooba Tooba: Who cares. War mongers should be mocked, and forced to the front. Their kids as well. Kill all them biatches.

If you want to declare war, you should be at the front of the front lines, giving a rousing speech to your army before leading the charge.

Like Bill Pullman in Independence Day.

Every president should model their speeches off that one glorious moment.

Okay, so I'm not 'outraged' by some idiot's remarks. However, it was enormously disrespectful and let's just try to agree on that. Loss of life isn't really a nice tagline for selling your crappy shoes. His marketing department might want to smarten up just a tad.

2013-09-05 10:13:25 PM
This tweet says so much about our society.

2013-09-05 10:16:35 PM
This whole twitter outrage reeks of who gives a shiat.

2013-09-05 10:19:11 PM
Really? We're supposed to be upset about this? Because I'm not feeling it.

Saying ANYTHING followed by "let's not forget sandals, pumps and loafers" is cringeworthy

I have had a hard time taking Kenneth Cole seriously about anything ever since I first saw this $48 binder clip disguised as a leather wrapped money clip.

2013-09-05 10:28:07 PM
I know for a fact he's referred to as "Kenny" in social situations.

2013-09-05 10:32:49 PM
Really?  Who the hell cares?

2013-09-05 10:32:57 PM
Don't mention the war!

What? Oh, he mentioned it?

Well, technically our part of the war hasn't started yet, right?

He mentioned that?

Oh, well... Um, okay. *shrugs*

2013-09-05 10:35:25 PM
He's spending $400 a month on loafer lightener?

A mincing gel would achieve the same results.

Yeah this is pretty stupid, people really need to stop getting pissed off at every damn thing.

2013-09-05 10:36:44 PM
Might be distasteful, but still more credible than Congress.

2013-09-05 10:36:57 PM
oh noes, he treated war as casually as the US govt!

2013-09-05 10:37:40 PM
Oh ffs, who gives a shiat?! God, people love getting distracted from the actual issues.

We're really digging deep to find new stuff to be offended by.

I've been saying it's the generation of 'lalalala I can't hear you over my own outrage'

Constantly ignoring the issues that actually matter and effect everyone to focus on something so insignificant they'll forget they were outraged over it next month
