Indeed, it shut that 'drill instructor' right up.

/of course said 'drill instructor' was also wearing nonsubdued colonels eagles on both collar points like the Navy & Marines do while wearing a US Army hat & had a bunch of colored patches on his BDUs so I kind of doubt his authenticity just a little

Was that the kid who sued Jenny Jones because he was molested on her show?

Passing the buck to a muscleheaded male the child has no blood desire to impress instead of talking through life's problems like a mother should?

Perhaps. Where is this kid's Daddy? Now if he's dead I can understand but if he, like so many others, has just abandoned him or has been barred from seeing him by a vengeful biatch of an ex wife would be more to the point of the problem.

Many kids that age without a father figure will act out in the hopes of someone, anyone, stepping in to show that they give a damn.

I'm betting that the kid was being serious.  And that's the sad part.

I have no doubt the kid was being serious because he said it in a very non-BS matter-of-fact manner.  We need to start a father training camp with the dad from The Wonder Years as commander.

I'd prefer a boot camp run by his wife.

Looks like Mr. Drill Sergeant didn't get briefed on the kid's bio before going out on stage.  I bet they never made that mistake again.

The fact that it has become somewhat socially acceptable and increasing in frequency is disturbing as well.

Indeed.

The world would be a better place if only all kids were Mongolian orphans.

There's a Chinese equivalent to Nick Cannon, so maybe we don't have as much to fear from the yellow horde as we thought.

Little Jimmie Holmes would straighten up after that, and his mom eventually moved to Aurora, Colorado, where James, now a college student, would become famous for dying his hair a bright orange... ah well, never mind.

Kudos to the "drill instructor" for pulling the child right off the stage and away from that trash he calls a mother to connect with him. Even if the kid was incorrigible, any mom who would sacrifice a kid that small on TV like that and humiliate them just to get some air time on a tv show doesn't deserve to call themselves a mother.

At least he could see someone that really needed help. He didn't sit there and just yell in his face. Wonder what happened to him.

Yep, the "DI" pulled the plug on his schtick at the exact right moment.  Though it's no real clear, it sounds like when he put his arm around the kid, he said, "I can't do this."

The mother is an idiot.

Oooooooh. Is this one of those "dad surprises family by disguising himself as a drill sergeant and going on a talk show" videos? Now I get it. Golly, shame on me for wondering what happened to the kid. I'm sure glad your tough guy talk made me feel awful silly.

A lot of people show up to be part of the audience for all sorts of shows.  The fatties are passed on to the lower ratings shows.  Check the audiences out, you won't see obese fatties on The Chew or Rachel Ray, but they appear in large numbers for the trash talk shows.  I don't think it's a coincidence, because you know fatties like the food.

Probably filmed in Vermont.

Yeah, you're playing linebacker, Cindy! You're built like a MOOSE! I'm surprised the boys are having a lottery just to see who can shoot you this winter. All you need is some frikin' antlers!
