Phil McKraken: If Obamacare is such tragedy, why does he feel the need to sabotage it? Let it fail and let the Democrat party go away.

I think the GOP is scared to death that it might work.

coeyagi: cchris_39: You mean somebody actually read the bill and is going to finally tell us what is in it?

That could be popcorn worthy at that......

What's in it:

-Extended benefits for college kids
-No denial of coverage for those with pre-existing conditions
-Everybody needs to, and will be covered, meaning no more ER visits for the uninsured (well, considerably less) at a cost to you and I.
-Preventive care
-80% of premiums must go to actual health benefits (claims)

Look, why don't you stop eating paste and start reading it?  It isn't tough.

And, fortuitously and with a bit of irony, health problems caused by the eating of too much paste will also be covered!

But seriously, we've already seen the lengths whackjobs will go to in order to keep this law from benefiting people, including themselves.  If it DOES work, the Republican party is finished at the national level for the next election, maybe two.

(I'd say longer, or comment about the state level, but people in this country are farking stupid).

I agree with Rubio. When watching TV last night in NC, in two hours we had 15 commercials attacking it full of the biggest retarded people you could imagine about how it going to murder their children by taking away all medical care. I am surprised that they let such obviously mentally deficient people raise children.

The bill has been publicly available for quite a long time now. Yet, those words happen to be factual.  So, how do you explain it?

Rixel: Maybe not exactly 50 percent

You're actually referring to something different from what I'm talking about.

Your link referenced actual premiums v. expected premiums.  I'm talking about the increase in actual premiums from year to year.  From 1999 to 2008, premiums increased at an annual rate of 13.2% per year.  From 2008 to 2013, premiums increased at 5.6% per year.  In other words, the rate of premium increase has been cut by more than half.
