Damn you DC, I was finally starting to warm up to you after your failure of the New 52. IMO you best comic right now you want to gut completely, also losing the person who made Batwoman we know in recent years leave, shame.

Oh well back to the indie companies for me I guess.

It's okay... in issue #27, they will reveal that Batwoman's icky homosexuality was just a phase, and she'll settle down with a nice man like Mr. Zsasz.

Jesus...DC is behind freakin' ARCHIE?

These DC marriages never last. Usually, the spouse gets mangled by the Incredible Bulk and gets to say "My few days with you were... the happiest.... of.... my... life" before dying in their arms. The Incredible Bulk stands by patiently.

They last a two or the issue story arc at best.
Archie's Mormon wedding to Veronica and Betty lasted longer.

I'm going less with "DC thinks gays are icky and immoral." and more with "We've done that schitck already and it doesn't sell more comics."

Much like DC Comics, I'm not buying that...both of the Big Two like to through the same shiat at the walls until something, SOMEWHERE sticks. I'm surprised that they're not doing it after Northstar's wedding not too long ago. Bandwagon and all...

That is until later when we discover that the spouse was in fact a clone of the original spouse who was in suspended animation in a space ship then the whole thing is kinda/sorta retconned and....yeah, now that I think of it, I'm against all comic book marriages.

Um, Mister Comic Book Writer, um. Jeff Albertson, a.k.a. Comic Book Guy here. One question, sir. You wish to have your characters, um both female, legally married. You do know, sir, that within the current canon, Gotham City does not recognize gay marriages. I submit to you Batman: The Caped Crusader number 23 page 7 and Gotham Knights issue 5 page 14.

These transgressions do not go unnoticed, sir. If these incongruities continue, heads will roll. Over five people read my blog!

Indie comics are all I read these days... and Vertigo too, but I aint sure if you'd really call Vertigo indie since it falls under DC's umbrella.

My main reading list
- Transformers: More than Meets the Eye and Transformers: Robots in Disguise.
- Mouse Guard
- Mice Templar
- The Sixth Gun
- B.P.R.D.
- Old TPBs of Northlanders.

I'm enjoying comics a lot more these days since I moved away from superhero comics.

Why? They made Green Lantern gay and no one bought more comics. Do you really think that's gonna work if Batwoman is a lesbian? "OMG! Batwoman is making out with a chick in the next issue! SO HOT!"

The new52 Nightwing series has been disappointingly dull and predictable. And while I don't actually read the Outsiders series, I heard all about the whole Starfire being slutted up debacle. After borrowing a couple of the comics from a friend I have to agree with her on that one, made me a little angry. The I heard that Lobo was getting a more serious and brooding redesign (along with a visual redesign). Seriously DC Lobo? You realize that that's what he was originally supposed to be a parody of right?
What the heck is going on?

Spatulaodoom: Lobo

I always wanted to see a Deadpool/Lobo crossover during one of those "We never do this, except for every five years to boost sales" company crossovers.

The 4th Wall wouldn't be broken so much as shattered...and you KNOW one of them would make a joke about punching reality.

I can understand the writers' frustrations at having a long story arc derailed, but it's for the best. Comic book weddings often lead to someone getting stuffed into a fridge. I think it's a standard clause in the marriage contract.

Well I dunno. He does look like the type to do a lot of brooding. Probably over how he's the last of his race and "different" than others. It's very serious bizness.

You'd turn it off when I was halfway across:

Batwoman has managed to be completely separate from everything else thus far.  I don't think it's been tied into anything.

Which is the one point that I would give the authors.  That they have a pretty much stand alone character they are working with, and as long as they stayed writing it would really only effect that single book unlike the death of Damien which effects every book.

But you know as soon as they quit for whatever other reason that chick is getting fridged.

Did I miss the moment in Obama's first term where the Democratic-controlled Congress approved gay marriage?  It must have happened since subby is drawing this distinction between the 2 parties.

Or is he upset that the Republican's refuse to do it and admit they won't?  Meanwhile the Democrats refused to do it but claimed they really, really wanted to.

Yeah I am getting that feeling also, mostly mine right now is Zenescope titles, Chew, Star Wars titles, and Caligula. I was looking into Uber mainly for the covers, then there is Manhattan Project, and Sex.

It is funny within one year I went from being a huge Marvel fan, to liking the big two, to barley picking up anything from them.
