Dammit. I had "Teaching evolution" and "the eventual vindication of Carrie Matheson on 'Homeland'" as an exacta.

Taking prayer out of the public schools and Roe v. Wade, is my guess.

Why when I read that did the Village People song In the Navy pop into my head?

AFA is now allowing a woman to speak on their behalf. Shouldn't she be in the kitchen making sandwiches?

I've read about how women now are in the ranks of the Navy, getting pregnant at exponential numbers

No, it's those damn women, always getting pregnant on navy ships.

biatches should be thrown overboard.  Even the non-rape ones, cuze they're just sluts

Do they think we're arming our Tomahawks and F-18s with glitter bombs now?

They're trying to scare us with strong, conservative women.

It's odd how God seems to want Christian nations to fail but seems content in letting other nations be successful.

So now it's not unamerican to shiat on the troops?

She probably thinks that because of this the cruise missiles won't go straight to their intended targets.

No, he's serious - at first, one woman had a baby. Now, they're all octo-moms! You really don't want to know where this ends!

FTFA:  "I couldn't help think about all the stories I've read about how women now are in the ranks of the Navy, getting pregnant at exponential numbers; when I think about the folding in and the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell and the homosexual takeover of so much of our military I'm not sure how effective those naval ships will be."

The homosexual takeover of the military is indeed a horrible thing!  As evidence, just look at the massive increase in pregnancies that have resulted!

Who cares?

Women and gays don't count in the "Family" equation.

When I looked at those battleships going into the Mediterranean, supposedly getting ready for battle in Syria, I couldn't help think about all the stories I've read about how women now are in the ranks of the Navy, getting pregnant at exponential numbers;

Ok, I see the problem here.  It's not that the AMF is bigoted, it's that they've become outright delusional.  They're seeing things that literally do not exist.

She thinks she's seeing battleships going into the Mediterranean, despite the fact that the US navy doesn't even HAVE battleships on active duty any more.

And as has been pointed out by others, I don't think she knows that the word exponential means.

Good to know the minds of the American Family Association are never far from the all-male showers at the barracks.

Nothing from these douchenozzles at the AFA surprises me anymore, but it simply boggles my mind how mind-numbingly stupid and insane this collective group is.

Sure, DADT has a lot to do with bombings to take out chemical weapons plants.

Women have been serving on Navy ships since the 70s.

I'm afraid she's right.  The standard Mission Crew Workstation on an Aegis cruiser requires valid security domain credentials as well as a blood test to login.  Once the mission system has processed your DNA to determine your sex and pregnancy status, these values form the template for the insertion data that's loaded to the munition along with the crypto keys and the targetting plan.  This in turn directly limits the precision, range and explosive yield of the payload.  The effectiveness of Tomahawks, SLAM-ERs and just about every cruise missile in the US inventory is directly influenced by the operator releasing the munition.  When pregnant women or gays commit the release of these weapons, they are rarely as potent as when fired by a straight, white, Republican sailor.
Don't blame the AFA for understanding the limitations of our arsenal.

And they've been getting pregnant from doing so in an exponential manner ever since.  Some suspect it's due to all the seaman they're exposed to.

And yet none of the AFA members seem to be lining up at the door to sign up so they can save women from such a horrible situation.

2013-09-05 12:27:21 PM
I think they're spot-on. How is a Navy vessel supposed to be able to launch cruise missiles into a foreign country if all of the seamen are busy playing with each others' rockets? Prior to the repeal of "don't ask don't tell", there had never in the course of human history ever been any sort of gay encounter on a ship at sea. That's a FACT. Now they're nothing but huge, floating gay orgies. Half of the time those ships are just out in the ocean driving around in circles and running into one another because nobody is steering the damn things. And don't even get me started on women "soldiers"! Instead of being back in the tent in a cute nurse uniform where they belong, now they're out there distracting the real soldiers with their sinful bodies and bleeding all over the battlefield without even being shot. We should just throw up a white flag right now because this country is never going to win another battle. Mark my words, people.

As someone who originally enlisted in the 90s, it is hilarious seeing social conservatives embracing Bill Clinton's DADT law.  When it was originally implemented, it meant the U.S. Marines were going to immediately surrender to the cutest North Korean admiral in the fleet.

Yeah, I remember a carrier coming into port in San Diego once, you couldn't even see the ship, there were so many babies coming out of it. It was just a floating, ever growing mountain of babies. And at the heart of it was a giant uterus singularity, an infinite number of umbilical cords coming from it.

"Why can't we go back to DADT?" coming from conservatives is indeed pretty farking hilarious.

Kicking and screaming, every step of the way...
