All that comes to mind is cartoon names.  Their parents named them like cartoon characters.

Limes are no danger at all when safely inundated by gin and tonic. Safety first, people.

Who the fark names their kid Candy or Reyghan?

also a side note, would this even be considered 'a severe burn'? I've gotten second degree sunburns and its nothing that wont heal in a few days.  Also, having handled limes alot because I work in a restaurant that deals with alot of citrus, how does this happen?  I didn't think this was even remotely possible.  Chili's and very hot peppers, yeah I can picture this.  But LIMES?  Anyone that has a CSB that can inform me if this is just a crazy isolated incident or something that happened to someone here?

Run for your limes!

Why don't you bath in lime juice then lay out in the sun all day. If nothing happens then its isolated.

Of course Limes can be dangerous, you just have to watch where you get your medicine from.

New Pinterest post!

"Limes and Coconuts at the beach aren't just for your drinks anymore. Lime juice is a natural skin protector. The percentage of citric acid to vitamin C in lime juice is perfect for blocking UVA and UVB absorption. In scientific tests lime juice was proved to perform just as well or better than SPF 15 sunscreen. While most commercial sunscreens contain harsh carcinogenic chemicals, lime juice is all natural, and a powerful antioxidant. Also if you ever miss a coat of lime juice and experience sunburn you can suck out the heat by rubbing fresh coconut water, and the inner coconut flesh on the burn. Did you know that the song "Coconut" was written after Harry Nilsson had to visit a doctor after a particularly bad sunburn, and the doctor told him if he'd just applied the concoction instead of drinking it he'd have felt better."

/maybe this is more of a naturalnews type post.

What a quack doctor. The proper prevention is to dilute it with white rum, sugar, sparkling water and mint.

I think we all know...

The worst part about that is when they actually become strippers they'll have to use a different name.

I've used it when writing deliberately bad romance novels. But I think it might have originally been short for Candice/Candace.

It's limes (or certain other plants) *plus UV exposure*, so that wouldn't be a problem in most kitchens.

GIS has some pretty unpleasant pics.

CSB; I knew a Reygan when I worked at the home depot in ancient days... very smart, and Ohhhh so hot.

/she would have been born about 1983-85 is my guess.

I had a classmate named Candy a couple of decades ago so it's not a new name. "Reyghan" on the other hand.... Look, all I'm saying is that it took me three attempts to spell it.

If only they would have put the limes in the coconut, and possibly drank it all up, none of this would have happened.

Yeah, I just can't imagine it was EVER a good name. Maybe as a nickname for Candice.

I wonder exactly how many times Reyghan will have to spell that out for other people in her life.. and if she'll ever really get it down.

Yeah - Candy I think is the most normal of the 5 names.  I went to K-12 with a Candy.  It's short for Candace.    You might have heard of a famous actress named Candace.

Reyghan, Bailey, Jewels and Jazmyn are all pretty weird names, IMO especially the way Reyghan and Jazmyn are spelled.

Dear Princess Celestia,

It's late and I'm drunk as fark, but y'know, I have just enough time to learn one more thing tonight. So tonight I learned that the photosensitizing effects of lime oil are associated with 5-methoxypsoralen (aka bergapten), oxypeucedanin, and other furanocoumarins. It depends on the lime you get. And because limes are grown for the amount of juice they produce rather than the chemical makeup of the oils in their skins, nobody pays attention to how much exposure a home juicer has, because a home juicer typically only juices a couple of limes at a time, then gets drunk enough off margaritas that they stay inside for the rest of the night.

Some random googlage for Lemon and lime oils suggests that the concentrated oils generally recognized as safe in quantities associated with food, but we're talking micrograms in vats of flavored candies here. It's still pretty plausible that if you start with a batch of limes with skins that happened to be rich in the offending chemicals, then had a bunch of kids (who have a lower body mass and higher dose per lime juiced) juice them all by hand, and then do whatever kids usually do (e.g., throw lime skins at each other, etc.) before washing their hands...

Yeah, I'm calling this one highly plausible. Limes. If you squish a case of limes in order to keep your friends plied with margaritas, watch your sun exposure because the photosensitive effects can last a few days after the hangover recovers. Or stick to beer. That works too.

Your wasting-away-in-Margaritaville student,
Twilight Farkle.

Reminds me when I was a kid and my dad had me out helping to build a railway sleeper retaining wall. I ended up covered from ass to snout with splashes of creosote. Everywhere the creosote and sun both had a chance to work on together - got burnt to buggery.

CSB time: I know a woman named Candy. She has a sister named Nestle. Maiden names? Fudge. Luckily the first woman is just fine and, in fact, apparently loves the name. I haven't met her sister, so I can't comment there.
