Ironic that some of his movies have suggested that acting crazy is a great way to get someone to go out with you. Girl not interested? Just stalk her, pester her, play loud music outside her home etc etc and she'll soon realise you're perfect for her!

/Mind you, this woman sounds nuts anyway...

He was good in The Butler. He played Richard Nixon.

Done in one.  :)  I will say, though, that I pictured her out in his driveway, holding a boombox up over her head.

Man, that woman will say anything for his affection. Maybe it's just an act. Maybe she's trying to steal his identity. It's pretty common for these types of grifters to act like they are crazy when they are really going to your house to look for bank account numbers. People are always looking for the next con. Air on the side of caution, I say.

100 yards? Is that the max he can get? I'd hate to be put in that position. Crazy b*tch has been in hot pursuit of him since at least 2012.

Off the top of my head.

Been awhile since I boned up on my Cusack filmography.
/by the way, if Broderick had become incapable (either by fate or by choice), Cusack was the casting agents' no. 2 choice to fill the role of one Ferris Beuller.

Also, Meg Ryan came theeeeesss close to essaying the roll of Sloane. And James Spader was very nearly who Alan Ruck did end up portraying.

Biography Channel had a special on the making of  FBDO on this morning while I was attempting and failing to sleep in my chair..

Don't know what happened there.

Oh, and more useless trivia, the rough cut of FBDO was 2 hours and 45 minutes long and decidedly darker in tone than the lighthearted comedy that was ultimately released.

He was also superb in Hot Tub Time Machine.

I understand he's not participating in the sequel.  That's a good move IMHO.  Why tinker with perfection?

It's not easy getting dates. Do you know what I mean? I mean most people are real afraid to date strangers. I mean you never know who you might pick up. I mean I could be some crazed slime ball. I mean a real deranged, violent psycho. You know what I mean? I mean a girl who would rip out your heart and eat it JUST FOR PLEASUUUURE. I'm talking about a total maniac! You know what I mean? DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?!?

At first I immediately scrolled down to look for the name.  I had a young co-worker who was obsessed with him, and we worked right down the street from his office in Venice Beach, so every once in a while he'd be around at lunch at the Rose Cafe or elsewhere.  I would tip her off when I saw him so she could come discreetly oogle.

The lady in the article is not her, fortunately, heh.  My co-worker was a nice gal and did not seem the type to go full on stalky.

Maybe 15-20 years ago. He was pretty darn adorable back then.

Eh, Cusack's okay. I liked him in the first Speed Racer, not so much the sequels.

This gives me a great idea for a movie:

Famous actor wants to make ex-girlfriend jealous but doesn't want the commitment of starting another relationship.  Stalker shows up at his door.  Bingo.  Problem solved.  He lets her in, gets her spruced up in Pretty Woman style, squires her around, lets the paparazzi do their thing, etc.  The whole time, she's acting creepystalky (e.g. ET reporter asks how they met, she says that her cat introduced them) and he's trying to keep her insanity hidden so that his ex doesn't realize he's faking the new relationship.  Crisis occurs when he gets fed up with the stalker's crazy behavior, but then the stalker delivers the zinger: the famous actor is being just as much a stalker as the crazy stalker girl is.  She goes over-the-edge-psycho and gets a little stabby.  He gets the stalker arrested.  The trauma inspires the ex to get back with him.  He ends up realizing that he was actually happier with the stalker.  The end.  Except that the kicker is: at the end, he pretends to go extra-stalkery on his ex-ex-girlfriend so he can be sent to the same asylum as the stalker, where they live happily and psychotically ever after.  Fin.

I will say, without regret, that I really enjoy John Cusack as an actor.  High Fidelity is one of my favorites.  Gross Pointe Blank, great stuff.  Better Off Dead and HTTM are fantastic.  Definitely one of my favorite actors.  Feel free to make fun of me now.

He comes across that way to me. I'm not sure why people are so infatuated with him.
