Put on some crap disco and have the dead rise from their graves in anger?
Good plan, morons!

Pretty sure we did this once already, but it was really funny the first time around. Let the song titles reign!

I guess with this, there really IS a Light that Never Goes Out.

There should be an external volume control as well to hear the ground thump a bit.
Neighbors shouldn't mind.

Another disadvantage:  You can't do it wirelessly.  You're tied to a fiber optic cable.

What about an urn with a recessed area that could hold a simple (removeable for service and charging) android device that plays video, still images and music, perhaps including a projection feature or 3D as technology permits. You could set a slide show, play back video of the departed, launch an appropriate or favorite tune whenever the urn is handled or moved. You could launch events randomly, like a request to dust me off once and a while. You could launch files tied to trigger events like holidays, birthdays, even a reminder to wear your rubbers if rain is predicted by synching to a forecast app. You could basically promote a higher level of interaction with the memory of lost loved ones, making them relevant in your life for years.

That being said, these should be included in my personal post passing play list

Black Peter - Grateful Dead
You Can Close Your Eyes - James Taylor
Don't Cry a Tear - Lyle Lovett
Poor Wayfaring Stranger - Natalie Merchant
Sayin' Goodbye/Goin' Home to the Rock - Kenny Rogers (I love his Gideon concept album, though I've never been sure why)
Goodbye - Linda Ronstadt
Rock Me On The Water - Jackson Browne
Brokedown Palace - Grateful Dead

/Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul...
