Must be nice to have that kinda cash, where you act like a complete idiot and then pay someone more than $1M to tell ya that you're acting like an idiot.

/but those folks won't tell ya to stop, they want to keep getting paid

You would think SAG would help cover more expenses for mental breakdowns, what with who its members are.

At least UCLA has a good surgical center too.  While she's there they should be able to surgically remove that dog growing on her face.

And they say Americans are cruel when it comes to mental illness. Pshaw...

It is sad that a normal person with this kind of mental illness would probably end up bankrupt and living on the street. But lets spend more money bombing other countries!

Anyone remember that Amanda Bynes headline a few days ago that said "let's hope this is the last we hear about her for a while?"

We spend billions of dollars a year on our mentally ill... It's called the prison system.

This is really one of the fastest falls from grace ever. At least Lohan took a few years to go from darling to pariah to porn. Bynes managed to go from amazing to utterly bonkers in like a week and half. It was like a WWE heel turn.
Sad really.

If it is a standard policy, it is limited to 28 days inpatient for the client's lifetime (usually with a max dollar limit of $50-75K).

In other words, everything after this is out of her pocket.

Sure is, especially when you basically beg (in public, repeatedly, many times over) for the guys in white uniforms to come get you with butterfly nets, toss you in a rubber room and strap on a straight jacket.

All this, when you're worth millions of dollars and are required to do absolutely *nothing* except kick back and enjoy the good life.

/let me get this straight....you're saying she has things tough?

A tweet from the Jim Rome show, (listener responds to rich whiney althlete):
"I feel for ya bro, I really do.  But try this:  Work as a trucker like me, 6 days a week, for many decades.  And every time you get your check...it ain't that much.  Try this for some years and get back to me."

Having money is pretty much always better than not having it.

That said, if you cannot feel any pity towards the mentally unstable, then society might be better off by locking you away as well. In all likelihood your lack of empathy and generally selfish attitude makes the world a worse place.

Hey, she's wealthy. She can just ignore the schizophrenia!

I was just being snarky in regards to the usual "I'm glad she's getting the help she needs" comments that invariably appear in these threads.

I mean, yes. I do have low self esteem. But I assure you, it's entirely unrelated to my earlier comment.

Cheeseface You would think SAG would help cover more expenses for mental breakdowns, what with who its members are.

Actually t would be AFTRASAG now, & it's paid for by the producers which is why they call it the Producer's Health Plan.  She hasn't done anything in 3 years but the residuals should have kept her on & ideally her people were still paying her premiums unless that was neglected while setting stranger's driveways ablaze...since she was arrested she might not get the break as if she got a referral from the Bob Hope Health Center, say

Let me add that while I also have low self esteem, the introduction of sanity and sobriety greatly reduces the amount of lulz and pr0n that might otherwise be displayed by said celebrities.

Seems like poor economic choices seem to haunt her.  Someone volunteered to pay to repair the driveway she apparently set fire too.

$1000 to repair.

From the before/after pictures, I wouldn't say there was much value-added

So locking one person up and providing therapy for mental illness cost $24,567.00 a week? $3500.00 a day?? Does that include food? I guess not all of Americans wages have stagnated. Yay privatized healthcare.

Only after you have used up your insurance benefits and have paid out of pocket until you have less than $2000 in assets.

i'm left wondering if her net worth was at all a factor in her "forced treatment".

How many broke or homeless people with the same condition get this kind of care?

How many are tossed back on the streets or thrown in jail and labeled "untreatable"?

follow the money.......

1. I think you massively misconstrued my post.  I was saying that just because someone is rich, if they are still crazy then it still sucks to be them.

2. Anyone who forms posts with "you don't know how X works" and then doesn't even take the slightest bit of time to explain how they think X works, is a douchebag and/or troll.
