United sucks. Why does Jeff Smisek waste money on those United commercials they show before the safety video? We've already bought our ticket! And frankly, I don't care about all the great amenities you offer premium, international flyers. I don't care about your state of the art dispatch center, because apparently they don't have access to clocks or a weather map. Why does it take so many united employees to get the plane boarded? They are an antiquated model of inefficiency and they treat their paying customers as if they are doing them a favor.

Anecdotal, but I've had 6 United flights in the last month. Five were delayed. No, I didn't have control over these flights, they were business.

Not anecdotal: they have the worst in-flight experience of any carrier I've used in a long time. If you're very lucky they have drop-down-from-the-ceiling, 8-inch TVs so you can watch The Office from 6 rows away. If you're not very lucky, there's no in-flight entertainment whatsoever. They offer no free snacks, and on beverage service you don't even get the whole can of soda, they pour you a cup. And they're still super expensive! They charge like a premium carrier and operate like a discount carrier...I don't know how they survive when Virgin and others are around.

If you want to see refunds on United, try swinging by the bathrooms shortly after meal service.

Scrotastic Method: Anecdotal, but I've had 6 United flights in the last month. Five were delayed. No, I didn't have control over these flights, they were business.

That's a shame. When I was working in Japan (1995 - 2000) United was a wonderful airline. I must have flown them 15 or 20 times. Never a problem.   Perhaps they took a few lessons from  North Worst West.
