The National Hard Crab Derby in Crisfield, MD. My crabs lost so they were "invited" to a crab bake later that night.

Yes I am sure it does.

I went to the ex's place to walk the dogs while she was booty-calling her boyfriend, bugged out soon after she got home before she started an argument, bought a fifth of cheap rum (because I can't afford real tequila), and now I'm cooking supper. This is pretty much what I do most days: one of the benefits of being an unemployable fruitcake is that there's no need to celebrate not being at work. (Take that, Obama.) You might think that being a manic-depressive weirdo on a couple medications is festive enough, but then I'm so old & tired that hanging out on Fark is the most fun I can handle. (Indeed a manic episode like I'd have in my 20s would probably give me a drooling stroke in the first three days.)

Cleaned the fish pond out Friday and Saturday. The fish are in heaven. Even found a little fish. There must be some hanky panky going on in there.

Why would I celebrate the end of summer? I'm depressed enough.

In lieu of Burning Man, I grilled a hot dog.

I named six total. "Luke Sidewalker" was the winner from the FARKUS last week so I used that. No prizes will be given except I used that name for it. Yes I was the Subby for that discussion last week and I am not sure if it against any rules to admit that. But FARK liked it enough to post on here and it was also a fun discussion. I also used the names "The Blue Meanie", "Captain Obvious", "One Star Warrior", "Beer Is Good", and "Big Bucks, No Whammies".

Here in Canada we call it Lying Around Smoking Pot Watching Cartoons and Masturbating day. At least those of us whose wife and kid are away for the week call it that.

Greek Festival at a Greek Orthodox church in St. Louis.

Gyros were good.

Its ok to out yourself in a thread. Too bad you lost,  but, in the end, you still got crabs, which is nice.

Hit that in Columbus, OH. Got kicked out. Probably shouldn't have started drinking at noon at the Italian car show.

Taste of Hamburger Festival in Hamburg, PA.

Ate two different burgers. That was enough.

I took the kids and left town to celebrate mom's 86th birthday up at my sister's tree farm. It was a great excuse to avoid the 100,000 fat geriatrics on noisy scooters in Milwaukee for the weekend pretending they're "badass".

We went to the Rib Festival here in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field.

Yes, the ribs were good
Yes, the pulled pork was awesome

Taste of Hamburger festival does sound intriguing though :)

I love crabs, and I got to eat the ever so delicious soft shells in a form of a sandwich.

The town to the south of me has a nice antique car show every Labor Day, but standing out in the open with plenty of lightning didn't seem wise yesterday.

Threw a 'labor-free' labor day party on the 1st.  At the peak i think there were a little over a 100 people at the park.

We finally got to adopt 3 siblings out of foster care last Wednesday.

sort of.

i rode my bike through southern decadence festival in the french quarter in order to get to the 9th ward where i drank too much (and then rode back through again to get home).  but, i didn't attend southern decadence at all. i'm not gay or in the closet and i was with my wife, so i don't think any body wanted me to attend.
