dickfreckle: You know what else thieves love? Morans who post their family vacation plans on Facebook.
Catlenfell: "Why would Labor Day be so attractive to thieves?"Would be a good question to answer in your article.
buzzcut73: I have a theft proof '89 Oldsmobile outside. It is theft proof because there is no way somebody would want to steal that thing. It is ugly, and drips various fluids on the pavement.
semiotix: Labor Day is starting to piss me off (and I'm one of those union-thug types you read so much about on Fark). There's a higher proportion of laborers going to work today than on any other day of the year! Somebody's got to ring up all the hot dog buns for people important enough to get the day off.I guess car thieves are more like independent entrepreneurs than wage-labor, though, so I'm okay with them working today.

Nightjars: I would have figured that car thieves would have unionized so they could get paid time off by now...
StrandedInAZ: I worried a lot less about car theft when I drove a stick shift. Seriously, nobody else I knew could drive it. It's a lost art. Unfortunately, it gets harder and harder every year to find a decent stick shift if you prefer a sedan or SUV. I find that most of the ones being sold are only available in the stripped down models of cars. That's so sad. I miss driving a stick.
