Jon Stewart is ready.

Everyone on that show or producing is? Yeah, you can go ahead and kill yourselves now. That's a bit extreme - maybe self-chloroforming is better.

I don't think he's invited.

I guess CNN's new show 'Follow My Tweet' fell through so they needed to fill air time.

I can hardly wait to hear the insightful commentary of Newton Leroy Gingrich.

Satan will appear live on Crossfire before Jon Stewart does.

He has his own show...one with more ratings than pitiful CNN will ever have.  It'll work out :-)

Best moment on cable news television...

Only to be eclipsed by Frank Zappa defending "rock music" on Crossfire.

I will be terribly glad when CNN's death throws are finally over (and make no bones about it, CNN is dying financially). A conversion to 100% reality TV would be an improvement.

In retrospect, that was kind of a pathetic BSAB moment for Jon Stewart, but I guess he couldn't have predicted how completely off the rails the GOP would go in just a few years.

Step 1: Restore 'truth in new' laws that Saint Reagan removed.

Step B: Make it a crime to use hours and hours of 'commentary' to avoid the truth in news laws. Or at least make 'commentary' as it was way back when commentary was a 2 minute 'DERPPPSJSFOSFSPP!!! and thats why I hates 'Murica"

Step Tres: Cable news turns into AlJazeera.

/Society profits as a whole.

Why would they use the same name?

Why would they put Newt on a TV show?

Why would anyone give SE Cupp a microphone?

Why do I get the feeling that the only time I see any of this show will be it getting regularly featured on The Daily Show?

It's too bad -- that show was really supposed to boost their ratings after the abysmal failures of "Send Us Your Youtube Videos" and "For the Love of God Tell Us What We Should Report."

How about we just have all news media run by the state? Would that suit your needs?

How about we repeal the 1996 Telecommunications Act which allowed the majority of media to be owned by a handful of corporations.

I get to see Newt Gingrich expound on how Obama is making a mistake in Syria because of his anti-colonialist DNA?  S.E. Cupp doing the "as an atheist, I'd like to see more Christianity in the public square" shtick?  And all of this a week earlier? Oh joy.

So when will Talkback Live return to CNN?

SE Cupp is everything that's wrong with cable news. She doesn't even bother to research any of the issues -- she's so uninformed that she cannot even twist the truth.

She *gasp* was pretty bad *gasp* when she was on MSNBC *gasp*. Granted, I only listened to her on the *gasp* Sirius simulcast *gasp* but she need to learn how to *gasp* breathe on air.

No complaints about Van Jones?  Interesting. I guess he's a paragon of virtue.

I'm sure the eight people under 50 that still watch cable news are ecstatic.

Considering the partisan crap coming out of MSNBC and Fox, CNN is still the best source of news available for most people.

2013-09-01 03:37:29 PM
So not only are they bringing it back, not only are they bringing back the Golden Mean Fallacy that was the show's trademark, but STARRING NEWT GINGRICH? Why are the disgraced politicians always the ones who get to host news programs? Why never anyone who actually served with distinction and went out with a modicum of respect?

Nobody but Glenn Beck gives two shiats about Van Jones, nor does he have an audition tape.  I did sit next to him on a fight once and the guy has really nice taste in suits.

NPR has been accused of bias on numerous occasions.  They're definitely better than the others, but I was referring to TV news available to most people.

That's so nice. Remember that when the rating people call you for a survey. "Keep Van Jones cause I wanna piss off some random internet guy".
Problem is I said "interesting" and not "outrage".
Don't give a fark about him. Just thought it  was interesting that a guy BHO had to fire for being so far out there even he couldn't abide his policies doesn't stir anyone here to comment.
Must be on your team, huh?
Back to your cosplay fapping potato.
