The Miami Vice one was cool. Black and Blue Bo was cool.

Ah Dexter Manley. When he retired it came out that he was, in fact, illiterate. Blew my mind.

There is nothing wrong with this poster. Update the font, give him a modern haircut and it'd work today.

And the guitar- this was part of the 'Bo knows' commercials at the time. I don't see a race car helmet, though.

Oh good lord.  I forgot about those.  Funny thing, we didn't think of those as homoerotic at all.

The only NFL poster I ever had was a Larry Csonka game action shot.  In fact, if memory serves, this is it.

I feel better now.  I only had one.

/But it was the Todd Christensen one.

My high school still had three of these posters on the walls of the workout room in the late 1990s. I will never forget the Dirty Dancing Ickey Woods one (no idea why), but seeing this site reminded me of the Largent and Curt Warner ones.

Also, Warner did pretty well for himself once he became white.

Nice find, Subby. Brought back some memories.

If there was a time machine and we could marry this D with the modern Saints offense, we'd be a juggernaut. But here we are.

CSB: I went to school with one of Dexter Manley's kids. He was a dick, played on the football team and ended up being a criminal and a loser just like his dad.

I love how everyone is mostly trying to pull off "Mean and Tough" or "Rugged Good Ole Boy".
Then you get to nice guy, help an old lady cross a street, Steve Largent. Sticks right out.

What is "Monster D.B." supposed to mean on Boz's shirt?  I mean other than the obvious, which would of course be very fitting.

I'm so skeptical now that it all seems a bit shopped. The Chicago Vice one is awesome. I seem to remember the Randall Cunningham one (which is fantastic.)

I believe it's supposed to  stand for "defensive back", but I prefer your interpretation.

Why would the Saints have an all-time Panthers great on a poster?

Anyone else as shocked as I am that this link actually has a comment thread and is not a sponsored link? I had to do a double take for a second.

I'm guilty of owning a Land of Boz poster when I was a kid.

I have a poster of Bernie Kosar's daughter attached to the ceiling above my bed.

I actually sought out the Bo Jackson one and the Jerry Rice recently as a nod to my childhood.  Still love them both!

I had this on my wall when I was in high school, and yes,  I owned the Zubaz and wore them on more than one occasion to school and maybe once post graduation.  I still hear about it from time to time.

I donn't think the Patriots were good enough in this period to warrant a player poster; I did have a Sam 'Bam' Cunningham (Randall's older brother, I think?) poster from an earlier era, though

This is the end of the Ray Berry/In Rod We Rust/Dick MacPherson era - about the only guys that would warrant a poster were Andre Tippett or Irving Fryar.

And this isn't a poster (just a card), but it should have been:

I owned the Bo Jackson and Jim McMahon Mad Mac posters.  Being a kid in the 80s was awesome.  Just sayin'.

Those girls are hot, but I don't want to imagine the rainforest bush that's under those shorts. It's why I can't do vintage porn, even though the scenes tend to be much hotter than the comically fake-titted stuff we have these days.

John Hannah might disagree.
