If you somehow convinced your brother not to marry the person he married, there's still women available in the marriage pool that he presumably would be willing to marry. But if he were gay and living in, say, Texas, his marriage pool would be empty. That's profoundly unfair. And if you advocate for keeping someone's marriage pool empty, then you are 100% acting like a farking bigot. Bigoted behavior makes me vomitous.

I think that the problem here is that you are misunderstanding what their vision of God truly is. Your vision of God may be that of a Great and Grand Benevolent Creator however, that isn't really what their vision of God is. This is what you end up with when you boil down their vision of what God really is:

God is an ill tempered five year old boy sitting by an ant hill on a sunny day while holding a magnifying glass. He is grinning as there are many scorched ant bodies laying lifeless around the hill.

And this is also what they are desperately trying to emulate.

Basically she is saying interracial should be illegal in 16 states.

If the courts and Federal government weren't involved in marriage and it was left up to the states, I would put money on anti-miscegenation still being on the books in several of those states.

By the states, but not by judges or legislators? In reality, what is wanted is for the people to decide the issue of marriage for themselves; however, right now there are statutes in Wyoming which ban same-sex marriages, ergo homosexuals are unable to decide the issue of marriage for themselves. Heard here folks, Liz Cheney is for same-sex marriage but against forcible same-sex marriage.
