Bobby Kotick is not above finding the most delicious gold 5 miles beneath the Earth's crust under tons of micro-transactions. This is just his latest adventure in getting money from the addicted fanbase before WoW finally retires as king of MMO's and becomes as relevant as Super Mario 3 is today.

You know that attending the movie will get you a code you can redeem for in-game pets or something, too. They'll probably have multiple pets available so you can go see the movie several times. Then they'll repeat for the DVD sales.

3 years too late and the population size that will want to see this movie is VERY small to begin with. I hope they have a budget and stick to it if they plan on making any money.
