I like how the Daily Fail wants us to write our own captions

Technically, Larry King isn't reading the Bible, he's just reminiscing since he was there.

2013-08-29 09:01:00 AM
He was married to actress Jennifer Tilly in the 1980s but divorced in 1991 though they remain close

Did not know that. Well done, Sam.

Ya know, if I were dying with an estate worth millions a year I'd arrange a series of jokes and odd charities.

I bet $5 million a year could keep an establishment for the perpetual lobbying of/for clowns in congress running for years. Seriously, all the makeup and balloon animals, walking the halls of congress advocating for subsidies for clowns and the eradication of magicians.

I'd also look into doing a company that would hire people in low income neighborhoods at $15/hr to do adopt - a - highway cleanups. Not full time jobs, but a way for low income people to make an extra $50-$75 bucks a week without being just another charity handout.

The producer of The Simpsons who revealed in July that he is dying of colon cancer has received countless offers from people interesting in his money.

He needs to send it all to the Daily Farking Fail so that they can afford to hire a goddam editor!

 FTA:
Simon created the hit cartoon alongside Matt Groening in 1991. He technically retired from The Simpsons in 1993, but still receives tens of millions in royalties every season.

So the first two seasons were aired before the show was created? I did now know that.

So would the proverbial monkey on the typewriter.

/of course any day now researchers will train a lab monkey to write the entire works of Shakespeare on a typewriter, destroying that allusion in the same way that "memory like a goldfish" and many others have been disproved

With all the worthwhile charities out there that could help man kind, it's truly sad that some people find stray cats and dogs more worthy.

Just finished reading The Simpsons: An Uncensored, Unauthorized History a few weeks ago. It really drove home how much of the show really belonged to Sam's direction and creative force rather than Matt's.

we did work for him a few years back.  crazy, mean mf-er.  maybe part of his cash giveaway could be paying our years-old invoices.

that being said, i am sorry to hear he is sick.  wouldn't wish colon cancer on the meanest among us.

I remember an interview he did a few years ago I believe with 60 minutes. Very down to earth guy. He talked about a dog he had for years that had a habit of being bad when he'd leave the house. When the dog died he had " Bad Dog Wonderful Friend" (or something to that affect) etched on the urn.

When I think of my favorite dog who died last November I always remember that saying. Thanks Sam!!!

I believe they kept it as Sayonara because he left the show after I think seaosn 5. Maybe if he had stayed on they would have changed his name to that.

Thinking back to when it first started, that's kinda mind-blowing.

What is really mind blowing is I read a short interview with Hank Azaria awhile back. It said that he was 49 years old. Which means he has been doing Moe and a ton of other voices since he was around 24-25.

He was one of the better show runners. Back when the writing room was a small cramped office with a handful of people is when it was the best. Now it's two big offices with each team writing different episodes.

The music your parents listened to on 'oldies' stations was more recent to them than the '80s' stations you listen to today.
