I knew my recount was on the fritz. It just hasnt been right since the last patch.

he was told that the women who were supposedly carrying the poop were simply "directed to throw away prohibited items before entering the gallery." Yes, we're expected to believe that 18 jars of crap were thrown in public trashcans at the Texas Capitol, leaving no evidence behind, and yet photographs of the tampon confiscation made their way around the web.

Eye roll. What else would they do? Carrying poop in a jar is not illegal. Throwing a jar of poop away in a trash can is not illegal. If there was a jar of poop, why would anybody have filed a report?
I'm not opposed to theories that it was a jar of pickles or something misidentified as poop and summarily exaggerated, but even if it was poop and official action had been brought against people for legal possession of poop jars, you ladies would be just as butthurt about that.

FTFA: "While the DPS officers were apparently too busy to chronicle the 18 jars of feces they claim to have witnessed, other confiscated items were photographed: "a bottle of acrylic paint and a small jar" and "three bricks collected in the Capitol extension."

So it's your position that these officers documented, photographed and confiscated all that other mundane stuff, but somehow 18 separate jars of feces wasn't deemed to be worth making any kind of official record? Is this your position?

serial_crusher: even if it was poop and official action had been brought against people for legal possession of poop jars, you ladies would be just as butthurt about that.

The one Occupy Wall Street protester who decided to drop a deuce on a police car was caught in the act, on film.  We're expected to believe eighteen jars of crap were found and no one, not the police, not other protestors, not other counter-protesters - not one single solitary soul managed to snag a photo?

Next thing you'll try telling me they were disposed of right next to those WND's of Saddam's we spent a decade looking for.

2013-08-28 07:21:03 PM
Worse yet, the protesters completely ignore my "Fetus in a Bottle"* stand.

*Fetus in a Bottle is a novelty item to amuse your friends and family and is not for throwing at the Governor of Texas and other dim-ass male chauvinist pig legislators.

Says so right on the bottom of the bottle.

Now what am  supposed to do with fifty crates of picked pig fetuses with onions? Put them on a cronut and sell them to the Cro Mags of Texas?

You've been posting here for 10 years. Yet, after repeatedly getting swatted down for this type of thinking, you *still* believe no evidence is the same as having evidence?

The rest is just misogyny.

I don't know why I care enough to respond, really. The other posters here have been doing fine with you for 14 years now. Maybe you just don't seem like one of the regular trolls that pop up for a couple years and then go away. Admin? Again, I never cared that much to keep tabs.

You're not the only one who's like this, but I've watched other seemingly intractable people change for the good on here. Here's to hoping.

A: It's a biohazard. You don't throw dangerous biological material in the trash and walk away like nothing happened. It's not the 70's.

B: It's what they built their case on, you don't think that they would have wanted to prove to the rest of the world that they weren't ful of shiat?

C: Pictures of the tampons surfaced, something that wasn't a biohazard, and was absolutely necessary for at least some of the women to carry, yet no evidence of the poop jars AT ALL?

D: Ditto for the "3 bricks and a small jar of acrylic paint". No potential health hazard from those, yet THOSE got cataloged.

Yeah, this is cool and all. I'm sure you guys are excited to be patting each other on the back, but until the smoke clears and the government is shown not to have a case, it's still more or less speculation. This isn't really "old news", it's just people like us getting vindicated and showing that we were right all along. I mean, people knew Nixon was guilty as Hell, but they still pursued the case until the shiat was proven.

Are you kidding?  Carrying just about anything could get you arrested if a cop thinks you're about to commit a crime with it.  And the cops aren't afraid of getting sued for unlawful arrest -the courts ALWAYS rule in favor of the police in those cases.

I continue to not be shocked when Texas authorities turn out to be liars.

It's not just Texas. This particular lie (sometimes it's jars, sometimes plastic bags) is trotted out every time there's a major protest. We can only hope that some day we get a copy of the procedure documentation that apparently was distributed to nationwide law enforcement about ten or fifteen years ago.

I think I personally made an account somewhere around 2000, 2001, but I don't even remember what the username would've been, since I probably barely used it. Does that count?

Otherwise I've been reading without an account since about 2004 onward, more or less. As for now, I thought I'd do something different and interact a bit.

I know now (or used to know) several trolls elsewhere that actually do it for fun. I never believed people could be that way. But I paid attention, and came to the conclusion that while, yes, there are little topics they spout for the troll lulz, they are indeed quite ...stunted... when it comes to actually understanding the big topics. They honestly believe a lot of crap, but when they're called on it, they switch back to troll mode and claim they were simply trolling all the time. It's sad.

And because I knew these folks in person, I found out that they had the time to do this because they were a) unemployed, b) in school, c) retired, d) just extremely unproductive at their jobs.

So, I watched the politics tab here for years, watched every single argument, and actually learned a lot.

Just from what I've seen of serial_crusher though, I figure he's angry at something, and when he actually pauses and examines what's around him, instead of reacting from emotion, he'll start making more sense. I've been there too in my own way.
