Sign #24 you are a maladaptive covert narcissist: you feel the need to post your test scores to show everyone you're not a maladaptive covert narcissist.

Don't you already have to be sort of a narcissist to take a test to find out about yourself?

T.rex: Simply WAY too many questions for a stupid, subjective online test....  Then, they want me to add that all up?  Sorry, my web-surfing does not allow for staying on one page for longer than 5 minutes.

I think you might have a different disorder.

ITT: People not understanding how a profiling questionnaire works. Singling out any one question and saying "this test is baloney because non-narcissists might give this a five" misses the point. A syndrome is identified by a collection of symptoms. That's why there are many questions. Some of the questions might appear on a questionnaire to profile depression as well. It doesn't mean the test is invalid.

I may be a narcissist, but that doesn't negate the fact that I am actually special and the rules other people have to follow don't apply to me.

AdamK: Pants full of macaroni!!: un4gvn666: Carth: "I try to avoid rejection at all costs. "

Are there actually people who enjoy and seek out rejection?

All I ever read is that, if you're afraid of rejection, you'll never find a date. Makes me glad I'm in a LTR, because dating sounds like it blows.

For me it's not so much "avoiding rejection" as "why bother asking a question when you already know the answer?"

eh, you never really know who is going to be interested in you, at the end of the day you have to make the call whether or not you're really interested in them

back on topic, imo introversion is a reaction to persistent loneliness or detachment, it's the brain's way of figuring things out that don't have a direct connection with social status and getting laid... only by going through an introverted stage do people figure out their own shiat and move on basically, it's not necessarily something that defines a person 24/7/365

Introversion is also a consequence of being denied positive social interactions from an early age. Or, more simply put, children who were abused by family, and/or treated as a pariah by their peers.

I fit both those situations, and it is miracle in itself that i have any interaction with people at all, as rare as it may be. I've gotten counseling on and off for years trying to resolve those old feelings. I grew up believing everybody hated me. Worse yet, it was true.

Come on. this is humanity we are talking about...no matter how weird a fetish, there is always someone out there doing it, usually more.

As far as fetishes go having a rejection one would be pretty hilarious.

-"Hey I have this weird fetish will you help me out?"
+"No way, get lost creep"
-"Ohgodthankyou"
