Since when did they need evidence?

The US has a X-band radar sitting in Turkey for detecting rocket launches from Iran, I would have to think it caught whoever fired the rockets in Syria. Why not just release the telemetry showing where the rocket fired from?

I'm confused a bit.  If the alternative is an Islamic theocracy, shouldn't Israel be supporting Assad?

Maybe because short-range tactical missiles don't achieve the requisite altitude for detection.  You know, curvature of the earf and shiat.

I hate conspiracy theories and their theorists, but if this keeps people double guessing themselves about being in favor of a commitment for military action against Syria, then I consider it a win.

I'm a little confused about this as well. Assad is basically Shia, the rebels are Sunni. Now, I don't pay much attention to Israel in general (not antisemitic, I'm just not from there), but who gives Israel the most grief, Shia Hezbollah or Sunni Hamas?

If Syria goes Islamic, Israel will need more weapons and money to protect themselves. It's not really that difficult to see through.

This is obviously an Israel/Saudi false flag designed to distract America from their true goal off cornering the falafel market in NYC.

Let's hope for live coverage like we saw in Desert Storm. Where the reporters stopped talking abrubtly, held their earpiece and then announced that they had to put on a mask and get inside RIGHT NOW!
Now THAT was some intense stuff.

Or watching Israeli Patriots take out Iraqi Scuds.

Syria is Islamic, the government is of the Shia sect. Who pulled off 9/11? Sunnis. Who are responsible for most of internal terrorism in Iraq? My bet's on Sunnis. Who are the Syrian rebels? Sunnis.

Israel doesn't care which side wins or loses. It's a no win situation in that the result of a clear cut victory will be either a religious dictatorship hostile to Israel or a secular dictatorship hostile to Israel. As long as Syria is in disarray Hamas and Hezbollah are largely thwarted and Iran is seriously inconvenienced. It is in Israel's interests (also Turkey's, Lebanon's and the United States') for the civil war to go on as long as possible. I can understand them passing along anti-Assad information to the US if they see the regime getting too close to winning. Likewise, they will pass along anti-rebel information (there is some evidence the rebels have also used chemical weapons) if they seem poised for victory. Crazed Arabs at each others' throats and randomly murdering their own children? Too bad about the kids, but what else is new?

The alleged radio intercept is old news.  Did the Israelis give the inspectors the actual audio or did they just provide a synopsis of what they said happened like they did with the US?  Israel is not exactly a disinterested party here.  They need to provide actual evidence.

Hamas is a local problem of people armed mostly with rocks and the occasional homemade rocket. Iran is a sovereign state with a a real army and represents one of the regional hegemony impediments to Israel. So they will back Sunnis.

FTFA:

According to a report in Ma'ariv, Israel's home front command is grappling with the problem of providing gas masks to men with beards, extremely common among ultra-Orthodox Jews. A special mask, which can accommodate a beard, is available but the high cost means it is only distributed to men over 65 or whose beards are for health reasons.

When is a beard EVER for health reasons? You want to not die in a gas attack, shave your damn beard.

Also, wrong. The Arabic language is Semitic (so, for that matter, is Ancient Assyrian) but the term "anti-semite" was coined in the 19th century by an avowed anti-semite specifically to describe how much he hated Jews. You can't simply redefine words when their meaning becomes inconvenient to you. Sorry.

Are the Mossad agents in New Jersey dancing yet? This is important.

It's all about the oil. Iran's production has been crippled by the US and Israel for years.

Mossadeq  threw out BP out of Iran, the Shah of Iran was installed and invited BP back into Iran, the Revolution took over and booted BP out of Iran. BP is back in Iraq now--thanks to big dumb America and our 10 search for OBL in Iraq--and they want to get back into Iran again. Israel is going to help them get their by getting big dumb American involved in another Middle East resource war.

It's just all an oil racket. Don't volunteer to serve in the military. Let the draft suck up all those sons and daughters of the rich and powerful. Let a rich guy mourn the loss of his kid for BP's quarterly profits.

I remember him forgetting english once, posting in a breaking thread. I called him on it, he disappeared but showed up hours later and claimed it was because he hadn't had his coffee. Lack of coffee evidently makes one forget basic english grammar and type paragraphs that sound like a cliched Russian in a bad movie. After taking a look at a bunch of "his" posts, I counted at least four distinct voices.

We both know that doesn't actually happen.  Thirty years later, that non-participation is an amusing peccadillo, while the people who earned their stars are downplayed as liars and braggarts.
