Shouldn't they call themselves "Daft Disco"?

He danced quite well when he was a guest on The Dark Side with Nat X.

Apparently, "Random Access Memories" is supposed to be a throwback to the roots of the music they like, or some shiat.  There's a lot of old-skool sounds on that album.

Also:  dayum, I thought *I* was a lame dancer.  :/

I was going to ask if he did the Jive or the Jitterbug, but Men in Hats seemed more classy.

True, submitter.  "Doin' it Right" is the better song from that album

I heard "Get Lucky" on the local "Bob Plays Everything" radio station the other day. So, just a heads up, that song is not going anywhere, anytime soon.

What always cracks me up about that video is how serious the dude is throughout. Looks like he's in a Smiths video or something. "You know what...we really CAN dance if we want to!"

Random Access Memories is a great disco-sounding chill album that I recommend. Doesn't matter how old the people are that dance to it, a few tracks are worth dancing to.

Herr Docktor Heinrich Wisenheimer: Shouldn't they call themselves "Daft Disco"?

Nah, the new album is far more an ode to 70s funk/R&B/soul than to disco. Way more Commodores/Earth Wind & Fire than [insert one-hit disco wonder here]. There are definitely a couple disco references but this album is about as Soul Train as they come in 2013. And you know what? It sounds great (mostly). Any good artist will pull stunts like this, and fans who haven't pigeonholed themselves into a specific genre appreciate it.

The whole album is pretty solid.  And it's definitely unique.

if you're one of those people who believe in infallibility I'm sure that works out for you just fine.  Powell had the stones to admit his mistakes.  he's the type of person who's not afraid to admit when he's wrong and do what it takes to not make the same mistake.  can you say that for any other high level politician you've ever seen in your lifetime?

To which he resigned the position and warned about the "terror industrial complex" forming around the wars.  The guy seemed to have fallen for the scam that the rest of the administration were in on.
