Y'know, I was going to post the "deep fried butter" image (again), but man, deep fried cream cheese and Nutella is even further over the top.

2013-08-27 08:20:53 PM
...
how?

It could be glorious. Thin, crispy shell filled with warm nutella goodness.

I've never had Nutella. But I hear good things.

If you deep fry that I bet you can sell it at the Texas state fair.

State Fair foods are like food memes.

The Texas State Fair is in August? Outdoors? In Texas? In August?
You have to deep-fry everything to give it a protective shell from the sun.

Everything looks pretty terrible this year.

That being said I'll probably end up there again even though every year I say I'm not going to bother.

Mosey? Dont you mean waddle?

I don't understand the overwhelming love of Nutella.  I finally tried it a couple years ago and really wanted to like it.  It was like eating ice cream topping or Betty Crocker frosting.  How someone slathers that stuff on toast and eats it is beyond me.

2013-08-27 11:05:42 PM
I think I just filled the cup...with my own blend of nutella.

2013-08-27 11:06:02 PM
I was just thinking of how good a 10x10 inch sheet of seaweed would be deep fried. Then this story appears.

You guys are reading my mind again? I wish you'd stop. Last time I ended up locked in the women's restroom at the Marysville rest area.

You ever just look at Nigella and think "I'll bet that would be great covered in Nutella"?

I had a Nutella milkshake that was pretty good. I'd go for some deep fried Nutella for sure.

a little bit goes a long way. I've got some pistachio pesto (and pine nut pesto) that is true for, as well. That stuff is so wonderful that I don't care that it comes with free bible tracts for me to throw out.

Cream cheese and Nutella® are whipped and spread over flaky Phyllo dough sheets, rolled up, and deep fried. Served with a drizzle of honey and shaved almonds.

That sounds farking awesome, and I think Texas should be nuked from orbit.

This fair deep-frying stuff is just going off the deep end.  There are so many ways to heat stuff up let's branch out.  Plasma torches, dry roasting, broiling, boiling in lava..etc.

You might be onto something, some lava boiled Nutty Butty's sound really good right about now

How is what someone else eats at a fair 'asinine'?

BTW, this thing doesn't sound all that bad for one of those once-a-year type things... like eggnog made from scratch.

Ive never eaten Nutella. That good in its original form? The name sounds like a rodent called a nutria.

I look at it and think "baby shiat".

I really like it on a piece of white bread with a glass of milk.

My ex made fried Nutella wontons one time. They were amazing.

It's gross and everyone who likes it should feel bad for it right after they stop liking what I don't like.

Guess which part of the nutria goes into Nutella.

Wouldn't have been good to eat a lot, but three or four were perfect. They were just a teaspoon of Nutella between two wonton wrappers pinched together, fried for a minute or so, and then topped with powdered sugar.

I guess I should not mention my love of Marmite?   Nutella also works geat as a thin spread with butter on toast with some chocolate sprinkles.   Mmmm. And Texas State Fair is best in October as the first cold fronts start passing through.  If you get a chance to go, please find and stop by the DFW Rescue Me tent for homeless dogs.
