CoffeeMug: Clash City Farker: It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.

I haven't read the books and so don't know what the Kessel Run actually is (don't think they explained it in the movies?), but "parsecs" always bothered me.  I guessed it might be an asteroid field and he made the run the straightest of anyone...

Never bothered me. I was too young to know what a parsec was when I saw the movie and by the time I learned I didn't care

Jesus christ, YouTube is terrible. I can download at 1.5mbps from any other site, but god forbid I be able to stream a video at 480p. Pathetic.

Author (and I use the term loosely) of TFA assumes far too much, particularly regarding the  A Few Good Men scene. No one I know farks it up in that manner.

Yeah, but who can answer the question of what Roy Batty really said in Blade Runner?

Did he say "father" or "farker"?

"I want more life!"

Twice as bright, half as long.  I've seen things you people couldn't imagine.  If only you could see what I've seen with your eyes.

Why did Batty get all the good lines? Okay, that's not true.  There were other good lines in that movie.  I often say to myself "Home again, home again jiggity jig" when I'm arriving back home.

And I often tell people "They're my friends, I made them."

All these memories will be lost like tears in the rain.

Okay, so Batty did get all the good lines or most of them anyway.

Mistymtnhop: Tricky Chicken: "I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this."
"I was thinking the same thing. That Bob Denver's full of shiat, man."

It is funny, because he gets the wrong Denver.  Bob Denver was Gilligan!

Oh Christ! Didn't even catch that until just now!

umm, don't misunderstand me. The actual line was John Denver.  I had always thought it was Bob Denver and repeatedly used it to point out to people that many of their jokes worked on multiple levels.  Then one time to emphasize that point, I played the movie for a group of friends.

Well, it did make them laugh...

What we've got here is failure to communicate.
