They don't already?

I tell you what would be terrible:: If the White House clandestinely paid New York Times op-ed journalists to push specific initiatives like No Child Left Behind.

2013-08-27 10:06:56 AM
So I'mma guess that the White House is writing a blog and Huffpo is hosting it on their site?

2013-08-27 10:13:03 AM
well, it's not quite the fox news cable and online empire, now is it.

2013-08-27 10:13:44 AM
Due to sequestration, they couldn't afford their own entire cable channel this time.

Relatively Obscure: Due to sequestration, they couldn't afford their own entire cable channel this time.

So that's why Fox doesn't work for the White House anymore?

Meh, don't really care

If the Obama administration wants to work with a corporation, more power to 'em, I guess

2013-08-27 10:34:57 AM
Well, this totally undermines the high regard in which I used to hold the Huffington Post.

/Meh. I still like some of their stuff.

After 9/11, Roger Ailes gave messaging advice to Bush.

And Roger Ailes wrote a memo to Bush on how to message the response to 9/11.

Could be worse, it could like RT where Putin pays for false anti American stories to run while at the same time trying convince wikileaks and anonymous that they are independent news.

Even at the time, it wasn't considered that big a deal. Now imagine if the Obama administration were caught doing the same. Jesus, you think Benghazi has made too much noise? We're talking apoplectic fits and foaming mouths for months.

Will Soros be involved?

Wait, of course Soros will be involved.  All democrat beliefs come directly from Soros.

/you'll notice that "democrat" is lowercase.  this is apparently a thing now, because "Democrat Party" isn't quite diminishing enough.

2013-08-27 11:38:53 AM
No, subby, it wouldn't be anything like "MSNBC on the internet" unless the blog ridiculed Republican lawmakers and expressed disappointment over Obama's centrism and overeagerness to compromise.

Our own beloved Fark.com Politics Tab is more like "MSNBC on the internet" than this blog could ever be.

So?

And there's already an msnbc for the internet.

2013-08-27 11:45:16 AM
Seems kinda low level. Can't they just have a news channel read their talking points verbatim as if it is news?

One step closer to official government media.

Actually, it's because All Republicans are grossly, stupidly fat, and without using expensive bariatric keyboards, they can't squeeze their bratwurst-like fingers enough to hit the shift key and the 'd' at the same time. Plus, because of their disgusting morbid obesity, Republicans can't bring their arms close enough together to type with more than one hand at a time.

And their helper monkeys formed a union and went on strike for better  benefits.

2013-08-27 11:50:10 AM
The GOP of course will be outraged at the idea and note that the only time corporations should be involved in writing for the government is when legislation is involved.

2013-08-27 11:51:25 AM
I'm sure the 'baggers will be just as outraged about this as they were about VP Cheney's frequent appearances on Limbaugh's show...

I mean, Teabaggers are known for the consistency of their principled outrage, amirite?

James!: So I'mma guess that the White House is writing a blog and Huffpo is hosting it on their site?

Big Deal, I could get my own blog and I've not even duped millions of people out of money to help get me elected.  Call me when the White House gets a nice corvette or something better than a blog out of the deal.

The Bush administration cooperated with an entire network to write the news together.

The Obama administration is so damn inept!

Add this to the fact that Mizz Huffington demands that everyone use their real name when making comments. It's like the NSA is asking you to help them spy on you.

Even worse, can you imagine if an administration gave a fake "journalist" working for a fake news site a WH Press Pass, for the purpose of lobbing softball questions at the president during news conferences?
