eyeq360: They also eat marmot in Mongolia as well. Whoever had caught that marmot must have ignored several warning signs that the marmot might have been infected with plague. A marmot that does not give up a warning call, is dead, or slow moving might be infected with plague. And it wouldn't be surprising if people caught the plague from eating marmot because the fleas that carry the plague like marmots. The fur removal process requires using a hot fire and during that process, the fleas jump off the marmot and onto whatever animal/person is the closest. Oh, and the plague bacteria can survive the cooking process as well.
Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Plague of Color, please.
DjangoStonereaver: "Plague Infected Marmot" should be headlining Coachella next year.
WTFDYW: It looks like a groundhog way too much to be worth eating.
tillerman35: Those marmots should never have come out of the sky and just stood there. They should have stayed hidden in and around the lake.
walkerhound: I'm sure nothing like this would ever happen here.
